What is the value of P?

(1) P is even.
(2) P is a square of a prime number.

(1) Clearly insufficient, because there are countless even numbers, such as-2,,4,6,8,20 etc.

(2) Clearly insufficient, because there are countless prime numbers, such as-2,3,5,7 etc so their squares 4,9,25,49 etc respectively

(1)+(2) only even prime number =2,So p=\(2^2\)=4,Sufficient

Correct Answer C

There is only one even prime number, 2 and its square is 4
You are going the other way around
The correct conclusion should read :-
There is only one even number which is a prime number squared - 4 , and its base is 2
REMEMBER HERE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT "P" WHICH ACCORDING TO OUR SECOND STATEMENT IS A SQUARE OF A PRIME NUMBER . SO THE CONCLUSION SHOULD ADRESS 4\((2^2)\) AND NOT 2
Your answer is correct though.

What is the value of P?

(1) P is even.
(2) P is a square of a prime number.

Statement 1: P is even
P can be 2, 4, 6, 8, ...
INSUFFICIENT

Statement 2: P is a square of a prime number
P can be 4, 9, 25, ...

Combining both statements: P is square of a prime number and even.
There is only one even prime number, 2 and its square is 4
SUFFICIENT

Correct Option: C
