So this is an interesting question, if it is a 700 level, and seems simple you should suspect that something is wrong.

A grocery is storing some small cereal boxes in large carton that measures 25 inches by 40 inches by 60 inches. Can all of the cereal boxes contained in the large carton?

The statement tells us that there is a large box of a certain size (totaling 60,000 square inches) filled with an unknown number of unknown size boxes.

(1) The volume of one cereal box is 240 cubic inches.

Statement 1 just tells us one box size volume is, we do not know home many boxes or what is the size, so we cannot know if they can fit. INSUFFICIENT.

(2) There are a total of 250 cereal boxes.

Statement 2 tells us just the number of boxes, so clearly  INSUFFICIENT  by its own as well.

Volume and #number of boxes seem that is what we need, sending us to go for C, but the question is about the small boxes fitting, not their content, so we have to consider the shape, what if the boxes have weird figures? What if they are super thin?

For me was clear that  BOTH  statements are  INSUFFICIENT  (therefore   E  ), because of the multiple issues with the plane carry-on limitations, but it was a tricky one.

If you realize that math is no needed you can do it easily in 30'; the volume check for C is simple, 240*250=6*10000=60,0000 probably to mislead you and make you think it fits the large box.

Statement B) We know the number of boxes but not the dimension of boxes, Insufficient

Together A and B , we know the number and volume but not the dimension. as illustrated above one box of dimension 1*1*240 would not fit into the carton.

Hence E is the answer
