Hello everyone,
I have one query regarding F1 Student Visa. Actually, I was given TOEFL waiver for my MBA application and I got the admit.
I have received my I-20 and on my I-20, issued by the school, It is mentioned that student is proficient in English. I got TOEFL waiver because I studied one year abroad (London) for my Masters.
Now, I am planning to Apply for US F1 student Visa, But I am in doubt that do I need TOEFL score for my US student Visa Application to prove my English proficiency?
I couldn't find any concrete answer to this query.
Reply from someone who has been in the same boat OR someone who is familiar with this scenario will help me in deciding my next course of action.

Immigration doesn’t care about TOEFL scores but you will must show sufficient proficiency in english on your visa interview.

TOEFL is not required by the immigration dept. It is required by the school to make sure you are proficient in speaking/writing/understanding the language.
It is the school's responsibility to check English proficiency before issuing I-20.
If the school has waived off your TOEFL exam, you are good to appear for the interview.
This is often a case for students who are coming here for internships/collaboration projects on J visa category. Most of those students don't give TOEFL exams.
