Bump!
Anyone?

I think it will be easier for you to find a job in Canada than in HK. I am not sure what are work permit regulations in HK but in Canada there is a special Work permit and Immigration programs for Masters degree holders who studied in Canada.

Thank you sab7a for the reply.

I second that finding a job in Canada in easier than in HK, but as per Financial Times 2014/15 ranking HKU (28) is far above Sauder (~80). Also, at HKU I will get a chance to study at LBS.

I am in a dilemma to choose between a better learning experience and post MBA job security.

I plan on working in the respective countries (or around) for atleast a couple of years.
Also, HKU is around 20000 USD more expensive than Sauder.

I am finding a hard time to decide between the two.

I'd suggest Sauder re: work afterwards. Both schools are somewhat regional (Sauder especially), but with Sauder, as an above poster said, the visa situation is easy. That being said, I think you'd have to want to work in Canada. Our wages are lower here than the US and the cdn dollar is currently weak but the standard of living is high.

I think your chances of finding work in HK, given the language barrier, are shakey. UK and US visas coming out of an HK school will be very difficult, if not, impossible - full timers at LBS & Oxbridge can have trouble with the visa situation in the UK, as can those outside of top 15 US schools for staying stateside.

What did you decide? HKU or Sauder?
