Part time students typically get hired laterally, not through their schools.
You need to think of why consulting here. Typically, business school students use consulting as a landing stage to explore different industries/functions/practices and choose one to become an expert. A part time MBA targets students who are experts in their fields and are looking to catapult to an executive level. As such, consulting firms do not really target students in part time programs. They do bulk of their recruitment via summer internships which is not an options in part time courses.
