Hey Guys,My future goals are investment banking, with the backup option being corporate finance. Really love both UCLA and USC. It would cost roughly 50k more to go to UCLA Anderson, but I have enough savings to cover it fully without going into debt.
Canadian student with just under 3 years of work experience at matriculation, so worried about recruiting difficulties for international students, and would love more on-campus recruiting.
Would appreciate your insights.

From what I have seen happen in the current recruiting season, UCLA would be better stronger fit for your post-MBA goals. I'm yet to come across Marshall grads in IB whereas I know a bunch of Anderson grads who are working in SF Tech banking sector. Yes UCLA has taken a plunge in ranking in the recent years but it's still a better school than Marshall in my opinion.

Congratulations on your admits!
Unfortunately West Coast schools don’t have almost any on campus recruiting. There are not that many large HQ’s in LA besides Universal and Disney. There are plenty of regional offices including Google and Amazon but they don’t recruit as much as headquarters, tends to be more niche such as gaming or entertainment, and there are a lot more opportunities at headquarters.
I think it’s gonna be hard to justify 50,000 in a difference between these two programs. Andersen seems to have been sliding and not able to find its footing. Not sure why. I’m curious about US news rankings coming out on April 9th or so.
If you are slightly inclined towards Anderson, does it make sense to ask him about matching your scholarship?
PS. If they took you in and give you a scholarship, this means they should be fairly confident in your employment chances 👍
