Hello everyone, I am currently preparing for GMAT for MBA from ISB and INSEAD
Below are my profile details:
Academics:
10th: 9.6 CGPA (CBSE)
12th: 94.4% (Science, CBSE)
Graduation(B.Tech, Computer Science): 9.2 (MAIT, IPU, DELHI)
Professional Experience:
Yet to take GMAT Focus Edition but targeting 705
Extracurriculars & Leadership:
Personal Life activities:
Please be as critical and descriptive as you can be regarding my candidature for above mentioned b-schools.
Moreover, looking for a pivot from consulting either to prod management or VC. Please do let me know if it's possible or not.

- Data Engineer, ZS Associates, 2021 Graduate, joined immediately after college
- Working for 5 years 2 months (as of 22 Aug,2026) in same organization - got promoted once after 3 years
- Currently handles 2-3 Associates based on the project staffing requirements
- Recipient of multiple performance awards at ZS (including both individual and team awards)
Yet to take GMAT Focus Edition but targeting 705
- Part of Organizing committee which handled company Partner informative/industry sessions for Account's technology team (in 2022)
- Regularly volunteered in ZS Cares activities
- Worked on Monthly Newsletter which is shared with one of Pharma client's leadership team to keep them updated with AI trends in life sciences
Personal Life activities:
- Handling family business (retail hardware shop) operations on weekends such as but not limited to inventory management, supply chain handling, transactions (offline and online) from last 2 years while working my full-time job
- Additionally, handling tenants and home maintenance for to-let properties as a part-time property manager
Please be as critical and descriptive as you can be regarding my candidature for above mentioned b-schools.

I'd like to understand your professional experience more to assess better e.g. key projects/ achievements, domain knowledge, leadership or international exposure, etc.
While there's no magic score, aiming for a 695+ would be ideal.
The career goals need more clarity as product and VC are quite different paths, and shifting from consulting to either needs a strong narrative (though VC seems like a stretch, based on the initial info you've provided).

Your profile is academically strong, and a 705+ GMAT would make you quite competitive for both ISB and INSEAD, assuming the rest of the application is well positioned.
The biggest issue I see is the career goal: Product Management and VC are two very different paths, and trying to position both can make your application narrative look unfocused. VC would be a stretch based on the information provided, as there is currently limited evidence of investing, startup exposure, deal evaluation or ecosystem involvement. Product Management is considerably more logical, particularly in healthtech, pharma-tech, AI or B2B SaaS, where your ZS and data/technology experience can be leveraged. Other credible paths could include product strategy, technology strategy, digital transformation, AI strategy, business analytics leadership or consulting-to-industry roles. Your family business and property-management experience can strengthen the leadership narrative, but focus on specific decisions, improvements and outcomes rather than treating them as extracurriculars.
