when we divide 5002/4 i get 125.5....but the answer is 1250.50....i know its basic decimal maths..but i am stuck here..could someone please help me with a better explanation ....how do we get 1250.50...thank you in advance...

you are missing out on adding a zero..
\(5002 = 5000+2\)
so \(\frac{5002}{4} = \frac{5000+2}{4} = \frac{5000}{4}+\frac{2}{4}=1250+0.5=1250.5\)
any query on this?

It looks like you might be splitting 5002 into 500+2. That would give you an answer of 125.5. Visually, that looks right. But, in math terms, 5002 is actually 5000 + 2. 500+2, on the other hand, is 502.
