The above choices have an SV error, since the subject (efforts) is plural and requires plural verb. “Has” here is singular. Eliminate A, B and C.
E. have yielded results of interest and have attracted the attention — “results of interest” is not as stylistic as “interesting results”. Concision matters here. Eliminate this in favour of D.
