You have a couple of things going for you
- A have a good GMAT score (more than the average at Rice)
- A good undergraduate GPA with a good college.
- Also the fact that although you belong to the IT group but being a female your chances of shining out become better.

Some things that you can improve on before applying.
- Rice really appreciates people who not only have shone in academics but in other aspects of life as well. Dive deep inside your life and pick out instances where you have done things apart from your academics. You still have a couple of months to go before the application cycle begins so try and do something in this time.
- Aim for a higher GMAT score to boost your chances of scholarship. Rice has historically been very generous on giving scholarships and if you want one try and get a 20-30 point rise in your score.
- Apply in R1 only - this year almost all internationals who have been admitted to Rice were picked in R1 only. In R2 hardly any international candidate was picked. Put your best foot forward in R1 only.
- Reach out to alumini and talk to them about your goals and whether Rice is a good fit for you. There are some very good schools in Supply change management that you also might want to consider besides Rice. (Infact Rice is not really that renowned for Supply/Chain)

Good luck with your application process !!!
