I'm planning to apply for B-schools later this year or likely next year and started some research. Can you guys share your opinion on why one should choose LBS? Are there any good student clubs beside brand name or any other reasons?

Key advantages of LBS: Diversity, Experiential Learning, Flexibility (2nd internship or time to develop a business concept.
This came from the LBS admissions rep. Attaching a resource you might find helpful !

I currently work in tech and reside in Canada. I was wondering how strong LBS is tech and its reputation in the North American region. I know that most business schools have traditionally being focused in finance and consulting, but slowly moving towards tech.

Additionally, how are the tech opportunities / scene in London and other European cities? I am European and am considering moving back to Europe after MBA to be closer to family. However, the last time I lived there, I was a teenager, so I don't have a good sense of the tech industry there. I talked to a few people and they told me that the newest tech are mostly happening in North America, due to proximity to Silicon Valley.

Thanks in advance for helping consider my options!

I suggest you start with the schools employment report. It is amazing what info you can find in LBS employment report.

As to Europe and tech jobs there - I think it depends. Barcelona, Hungary, and Denmark seem to be doing very well but Greece is probably less active. It is a pretty vague question and remember, you won't graduate until what year so what's happening today may or may may not continue.

Totally agree with BB. The nitty gritty of it all is, do tech recruiters hire LBS grads? I would identify a half dozen tech companies that interest you and get in touch with their MBA recruitment peeps via Linked In
