The lowest retail price of a gallon of gas during the period was approximately___________percent of the highest retail price during the period.

A. 25%
B. 35%
C. 50%
D. 75%

Highest price is 3.2 and lowest one is 1.2. 1.2/3.2 ~ 35%. Answer is B

The retail price of a gallon of gas never exceeded $1.80 in each of___________years.

A. 8
B. 9
C. 10
D. 11

From the graph we can see that the number if years when the price did'nt exceed 1.8 is 9 years. Answer is B

Don't understand why Users are enforcing to prove the OA .

1) 12/32=approx 37%

2) there are 11 years where price has not exceeded 1.8.

from 1991 - 1992 = price per gallon was above 1.8 and the falls - so not considered
from 1992 - 1993 = below 1.8 - 1
from 1993 - 1994 = below 1.8 - 2
from 1994 - 1995 = below 1.8 - 3
from 1995 - 1996 = below 1.8 - 4
from 1996 - 1997 = below 1.8 - 5
from 1997 - 1998 = below 1.8 - 6
from 1998 - 1999 = below 1.8 - 7
from 1999 - 2000 = below 1.8 - 8
from 2000 - 2001 = goes past 1.8
from 2001 - 2002 = goes past 1.8
from 2002 - 2003 = below 1.8 - 9
from 2003 - 2007 = goes past 1.8 atleast once
