At a particular grade school, there are two math classes: math class w and math class z. The students in math class w can be broken up evenly into groups of 5 students; the students in math class z can be broken up evenly into groups of x students. What is the greatest common factor of the number of students in classes w and z?
(1) The number of students in math class w shares only one common prime factor with the number of students in math class z.
(2) The number of students in math class z is divisible by 9.

The question states that W/5 is an integer and Z/X is and integer
Stmnt 1:
w and z share only 1 common prime factor
w can be 10 (2*5) and z can be 15 (5*3) => GCF can be 3
w cab be 15 (3*5) and z can be 5 (5*1) => GCF can be 5
Two different GCFs So Insufficietn
Stmnt 2:
w can be 5,10,15
z can be 9,18,27
So in this case also we get different GCF for different values of w and x
Insufficient
Stmnt 1 + 2
(w,z) > (10,18) > GCF is 2
(w,z) > (15,18) > GCF is 3
In Sufficient

I will go with E...the reason is i took 2 examples after clubbing both statements (25,45) and (30,9) both has different values of HCF.
