Ok so i find these questions a bit tricky..

Here is my take-

1. As per this, if x =1/7.. then 7x is an integer but x is not an integer.

X can be 2 then 7x and x both are integer

2. x=1/7

Ns as x can be anything but 1/7

Reject ADB

Now combining...

What if x = -1/7

Then x is not an integer but 7x is integer

So E

Statement 1 is clearly insufficient as x can assume a range of values.

Statement 2, is also insufficient, for the same reason. x = integer or any other fraction.

Combining statement 1 and 2, x can be an integer or any fraction again. Thus, both statements together are insufficient.
