Hi guys,
Just finished my GMAT today.I screwed up but ended up getting a 750.Background:Indian Male,IIT passout, 5yrs experience in Upstream Oil & Gas.This is my endeavour to just save people some money.750 is definitely not a score where we should be doling out advices.But please bear.You will surely save money.
The GMAT is definitely a very, very instinctive exam.Any decent scorer will definitely not be contemplating about what the right answer is(in the exam that is).He will know what the right answer is upon reading the options immediately.Or at max upon the second reading of the options.This basically was the difference between 620 & 750.
There is chap called Ron purewal. He used to work in Manhattan prep. He is a genius. His videos are not about rules though he does mention them. The methods he suggests just work. He also keeps explaining a bit about human psyche and why those methods will work.
Sample this : Whenever you read a CR argument imagine it as if as a conversation ur having with a friend. Or after reading any argument explain it in your own words to a 10 yr old.
The GMAT is instinctive. By hearting rules and trying to apply them won't work in the exam(From my experience).To reach such an instinctive level of problem solving please watch Rons videos. Google them. I might have watched at least 150 of them. I subscribed to another paid course whose name I am not taking. They just dont improve instincts as Ron does.

Congratulations on your inspiring journey to such an awesome score.
Just to be clear on what you intended to write was: to eliminate incorrect answers based on solid reasoning and knowledge
instead of having a pre-set assumptions and having an affinity before going to an answer choice.
