Hello friends,
I am planning to apply to HBS this year in the first round. Sometimes, I have read that some applicants have visited the School in order to show their interest to the admission officers. Is that a good strategy?

If that were right, should I visit the School before sending my application or after? I don't want to create a bad imppresion or put certain pressure on the admission officers. But also I would like that they remember that I visited the school and that I had a genuine interest in their program.

Thanks!

HBS is actually one school where it doesn't matter to the Adcom if you visit or not. Schools like HBS do not have a yield problem (pretty much everyone who is accepted ends up enrolling with few exceptions). For this reason, HBS knows that they are desirable and do not need anyone to demonstrate that they are pro-HBS. I highly encourage you to visit, but not for the reason that it will help sway the committee, but rather for the reason that it will make your application better by giving you an up close look at the culture.
