Saw a post on Wharton's forum: what's the common wisdom - is it over for international applicants who didn't receive an invite by now?

Don't worry there's still a reasonable chance to get your invite. In round 1 Wharton sent a great number of invites (also for international students) on the very last day.

Thank you for the information.
Also, congrats on your admissions from both sloan and wharton. Just out of curiosity, which one are you gonna pick?

I haven't figured it out yet. I'm going to attend MIT's AdMIT weekend later this week and hopefully I can sort out my preference after that. Wharton's Welcome Weekend left an overall good impression but undoubtedly Boston beats Philly. At least for me.

Which one would you go and why?

Let me know what you decide and why, jessei. I am also going to AdMIT and potentially will have the same dilemma.

Just got a generic financial aid / planning email from Wharton, stating that International Students do not need a cosigner for their loans. I'm guessing everyone got this too, right - international and domestic?
i got this as well,

all we need now is an interview invite.
Ha ha. Yes I think all of us got this one.

It was good enough for me to skip a heart beat, especially since I got an email from one of my friends (2008 W alum) asking if I had heard anything from Wharton till now, just seconds before this generic mail!

Let's keep our hopes UP guys.

"We are good enough to get an invite" .... Let's believe in this. I am sure Wharton will also then have to believe in this :)[/quote]

I didn't get that email, im domestic - I hope it's just for international!

I am at PHL, just had my interview with a 2nd yr admissions fellow. He was really nice and no surprises (see clearadmits interview wiki). I think it went so-so, I became really nervous after talking to the other candidates in the waiting room. Everyone I met was a superstar, my confidence pretty much dropped after talking to them.

Btw-for internationals: 3 candidates at my time slot flew to philly b/c hub spots were full (London, Israel, Australia).

Are you a US citizen or green card holder? I wonder if they sent emails to everyone who is not US citizen.

of course not Kethee!

It is for Int'ls, since most won't have US co-signors. Plus, u already have had an interview - People have been posting here about this mail so as to gauge if it was generic or if they were somehow the few selected ones, thereby raising their chances, and hopes, of an interview invite!!

You are in a good wicket, I can guarantee u that :)

I have got this email although I am a green-card holder. More than that I have got another one saying that if I apply on R3 I should hurry up(i am an R2 applicant). They must be smoking some good stuff there in the admissions office.

solomon1981, I received the same email, and I am a R2 applicant as well.

Have you received an interview invite from Wharton yet?

Thanks

I am an international, but I have my permanent residency in the US. I am not sure how I will be considered - international pool or domestic pool. However, I got one of the "financial Aid information" emails from Wharton today. I am yet to get an invite.

If you have a green card, domestic pool. Otherwise, international pool.

R2 International Applicant / Green Card Holder here as well. I received all 3 emails (financial aid mail, apply for R3 mail, disregard the previous email mail).

I hope they meant to send out an invitation for interview instead :)

Ah Wharton Admissions team, you're the cause of my 0 productivity at work today.
