Happy to report that I got an invitation to interview this afternoon. I was interviewed last year but eventually dinged, so I'm definitely going to keep my expectations in check this year.

Interestingly, one of the screens that you see when scheduling an interview says that all R2 interviews have to be completed by March 2. That must be incorrect given that the email invitation said interviews are taking place through March 12. Fot the time being, there doesn't seem to be any interview slots left - so I'm going to call the admissions office tomorrow when they open. Anyone else in a similar situation?

If you heard about a ding today - I know that feels terrible. Wharton is turning down some amazing candidates for R2 interviews, so at least know that you're in excellent company.

Waitlisted after interview from round 1 and heard nothing today. Oh well.

Good luck to everyone interviewing!

Apparently, today was a bloodbath....

DING here as well...

Really unexplainable ding considering that i am a reapplicant who was waitlisted and then summer waitlisted last year. I've been promoted at work and have got to lead some real major projects, Ive also taken on more leadership positions outside work. My GMAT has also not reduced from 740....LOL.

How im suddenly not even good enough for an interview this year even with significant improvement in my app and multiple essay reviews by Wharton students is really beyond me...

All the best everyone

My case is quite like yours: reapplicant, waitlisted over the summer, and then was rejected after 4 months of painful waiting...

Just want to add some information that might be useful for your reflection. I got my invite quite early this time around (early in the 2nd week into the interview release period), which is a significant improvement given that I got my interview invite on the very last day last year.

I made a lot of improvements, got promotion at work too, but I did not pack them all in my application.

What I did was to reflect a lot, tried to find out what characteristics of mine would best fit with Wharton (those that I thought Adcom appreciated), and weaknesses that possibly led to my rejection last year. I put efforts in polishing my appreciated strengths, and provided much more evidence on how I improved my weaknesses (the reasons for which I guessed they rejected me) over the year.

Perhaps you haven't showed them how you mended your weaknesses, not polished your strengths well enough, or presented what they don't highly appreciate, or not differentiated yourself distinctly enough.

Best of luck with your business school application.

To those who have already interviewed:

This may go without saying, but just in case, is it appropriate to bring a more updated resume into the interview or will they be looking for uniform submitted documents? I'm assuming they won't be comparing the interview resume with the one attached to the application, but I just wanted to be sure. Anyone have thoughts on this?

I think its fine to bring an update resume - The interviewer hasn't seen your application, and they have only a few minutes to go over the resume you bring. The front desk lady will collect it from you when you arrive and give it to your interviewer.

Bring the updated version. That being said only a small portion of the interview is focused on the resume so I wouldn't stress too much over which version you bring unless you had a significant change since January.

Just finished my on-campus interview about an hour ago. I interviewed with a 2nd year student and I think it went pretty well. It was very conversational and my interviewer and I had quite a bit in common. My advice would be to know your resume back and forth, have a story ready about managing someone more senior to you. Also be prepared to talk about how you influence people.

I didn't do the campus visit portion because I'd already done one this past fall. There were several other applicants in the waiting area and they all seemed really friendly. Good luck to those who have yet to interview.

I did. It felt more 'structured' than my other interviews, but it went fairly well. No surprises.

Hi all,

I just had a phone interview with an adcom, and I am trying to email her a thank you note. However, I don't find a page on Wharton website that gives me information about the email of the adcoms. Do you guys have any suggestions about where I can find such info?

Good luck to everyone who is waiting for an interview!!
