Submitted to R1 today... phew barely missed the deadline. I hope R1 submission is worth it. Do any of you guys know if Wharton uses the same Harvard method were they release you early if they dont want to interview you at all? It will be painful having to wait until december while others are called in for interviews and others are still waiting for their invite to come.

Hello all, I'm applying for round 2. Do you round 1 folk have any hard-won advice to share? Though I suppose you won't have any advice until you find out how you did...

I received an email saying that it would take a while for our status' to change to complete since the operations team was working on reviewing if the apps were ready.

But, just logged in to my account and it reads: Complete - Round 1

Eek, I guess let the games begin.

In for R1 too .. My application status reads Complete-Round 1 as well. Good luck to everyone. For the R2ers, fire those questions away :)

Got this email:
Dear ********,

Thank you for submitting your application for Round One.

The following will provide you with information concerning the processing of application materials, timeline for the release of interview invitations, and final decision releases.

If your online account reads "Complete - Round One," your application has all the required materials, has been processed by the Operations Team, and has been forwarded to the Committee for review.

If your online account reads "Received," then the Operations Team needs to process your online application submission and any materials submitted by hard copy. After your materials have been processed (assuming they arrived before the Round One deadline), your online account will be changed to "Complete for Round One" and your file will be forwarded to the Committee for review. Due to the high number of candidates who submitted their application during the past few days (more than 60% of candidates applying for Round One submitted their application within 24 hours of the deadline), it will take the Operations Team a approximately a week to complete the processing of all materials. Therefore, please allow the Operations Team until Tuesday, October 11th before inquiring about the completeness of your application.

The Admissions Committee will release interview invitations between Thursday, October 27th and Friday, November 11th. Due to the nature and complexity associated with the admissions process there is no particular order in which invitations are released. Also on November 11th, the Committee will release all final admissions decisions to candidates that are not being invited for an interview and therefore no longer being considered for admission.

If you are invited for an interview, you will need to complete your interview by Friday, December 2nd. Interviews will be available on campus with second-year Wharton MBA Students who are full members of the Admissions Committee and off campus in various "Hubs" around the world by Admissions staff members. All interview options are equally considered within the admissions process.

Candidates who are offered an interview will receive their final admissions decision by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, December 20th.

Thank you again for applying to Wharton. We look forward to reading your application.

Sincerely,
Wharton MBA Admissions Committee

Best of luck everyone.

Hi All,
Apparently I switched my last and middle names in my application (not sure how I managed to do that). I've been in contact with an admissions officer for a while to ask about other issues and I let her know about my mistake. You think this will negatively affect my application in any way? All other information is 100% correct.
Thanks

Aren't you able to still edit "Personal Information I" section in the app?

Whatever be, there is no way this can negatively affect your application. Admission officers are not sadists.
