For those attending the Welcome Weekend in a few weeks, are you staying at the Palomar as suggested? It's pretty expensive, but if everyone is going to be staying there I'd like to be in the same area as well. Just trying to get a sense of what others are thinking.

Thanks

I think a good amount of people will be staying elsewhere. I don't think it's necessary to stay at the hotel Wharton chose.

Did anyone else from R2 get the Financing Your MBA email? Almost had a heart attack as I didn't notice the subject line and the main body of the email says in bold: "You're Invited"...

Based on R1 posts, there's no significance to the email.. Good luck everyone! 2 weeks left!

Yes, I got this too. It is also advertised on the Wharton MBA website as an upcoming event so open to everyone.

I did not pay much attention to it as had exactly the same thing happen with MIT Sloan in Round One (although did eventually get an interview invite so you never know!).

Stay cool guys. A long way to go yet...

@TheKraken
Got it too. Will attend the webinar, though it will be at 6 a.m. Tokyo Time.

@dcr
Long way to go indeed.

The confirmation email says interview invites will go out between Jan 28 and Feb 28.
Good luck to all!

Hi, I still have not received any confirmation e-mail from Wharton that they received my application.

My status is "Submitted", but I haven't received anything else.

Do you think I should call them?

Did all of you receive something from Wharton after you submitted?

Yes, there was a confirmation e-mail with subject line "Round Two Information".
On appyourself.com, it should say Application Status: Submitted, followed by submitted date, followed by "Complete - Round 2" (or just Received if they still need to go through your things).

Anyone received the following email yesterday? Just wondering if it's Wharton practice to send out updates like this every Friday...

________
Thank you for submitting your application to join the Wharton MBA Class of 2016! We are looking forward to getting to know each of you, through your personal stories and experiences, as we continue to read through your applications. Based on what we have seen at this point, you are not making this decision easy for us!

Now that the written part is behind you, we realize that the coming weeks bring a great deal of nervous anticipation around 'what's next' in the process. In no particular order, we will be releasing invitations to interview starting at the end of January and continuing through to mid-February. All invited candidates will then take part in the Team-Based Discussion, which we launched last year in partnership with the Wharton Innovation Group. Our new interview format has brought the team-based learning component of our community into the application process - which gives potential students a chance to showcase who they are, while at the same time experiencing more apects of our program, firsthand.

As we move into this next phase of the process and questions arise, please feel free to contact our office directly. We may be reached by phone at 215-898-6183 or by e-mail at [email protected].

Thank you, again, for your interest in Wharton. We look forward to being in touch with you in the near future.

Sincerely,
Wharton MBA Admissions Committee

Yes, I received this e-mail yesterday. Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like just a confirmation on the next steps. The line "Based on what we have seen at this point, you are not making this decision easy for us!" really makes you wonder though. Coupled with the financial aid e-mail that some other people received, seems Wharton really likes to keep us jumping.

I don't remember getting a confirmation email when i submitted. But you can check online to see your application status. I got an email after R2 deadline saying my application would be considered in that round though.
