Realistically this forum has 10-20% of all admitted applicants.
Waitlisted means saved for a possibly opening spot if some student cancels or gets hit by a bus.
Chances of that are one of a hundred.
On top of this this person should be willing to go back to the forum and let everyone know.
So I'd say it's statistically impossible to trace it.
Also it would give you false hopes. Maybe it's for the best. Maybe it meant to be to try harder next time and enter Stanford MSx program instead? Or Berkeley. Or to invest 200k into something else..

It is strange that I couldn't find a single example of a waitlisted candidate being admitted in the last 3-4 year old threads. Perhaps once they get admitted they no longer care to reply to the thread.
