What are the typical mistakes in IR?

Hello everyone. Last attempt I scored a pitiable low digit in IR.
This next time I want to get a score that I can mention on the various admission sites without fear !
So now i practised from GMATPrep's question bank and saw that am making few very silly mistakes like:
- Leaving out a crucial info as I get tired of reading
- Misinterpreting the question as I am in a hurry to solve and move on
- Not reading between the lines - like in an 'imply/apply' question
- Losing interest in some weird calculations
I have bookmarked these questions and will practice again.
Is there a way to make IR as interesting as quant? Or at least to get past the boring or intimidating nature of the questions? Most errors are in the multiple sets - its so sad to see one wrong out of three and losing the entire score.
Tips to crack this section will be very helpful.
Thanks a ton!
