What is the value of 40% of m?

(1) The 6th root of m is the square root of 2
(2) 15% of m is 1.2

Answer: D

How is 1 sufficient? "m" could be positive of negative right?

All we need is value of m to calculate 40% of m

m cannot be negative, cause we are taking 6th root which is even... if it were odd both positive and negative values would be possible. Just because it says that sixth root of m, means m has to be positive. Hope you get it.

Thanks
