(1) The 6th root of m is the square root of 2:
- \(\sqrt[6]{m} = \sqrt{2}\);
Take to the 6th power: \(m=(\sqrt{2})^6=2^3=8\).
Sufficient.
(2) 15% of m is 1.2
- \(0.15m=1.2\);
\(m=8\).
Sufficient.
Answer: D.

So all we need to see is if we can find value of m from statements.
S1 - 1) The 6th root of m is the square root of 2.
Take 6th Power both side. We knw m
S2- 15% of m is 1.2 From this we knw m.

All we need is value of m to calculate 40% of m
m cannot be negative, cause we are taking 6th root which is even... if it were odd both positive and negative values would be possible. Just because it says that sixth root of m, means m has to be positive. Hope you get it.
