I'm looking to apply this year 2021 with deadlines in September. When should one start looking for and finalize on a consultant?

@friskymarkets-- what a great question for 2021! And good timing as rather than being one of the last minute people struggling to complete their MBA applications-- if you start up now with a consultant you get the most value as you have more time to work on your application as a holistic process. My clients who start now are the ones who are usually finished with their R1 applications in August and can know their status by Nov or December. When you work comprehensively with a consultant you get unlimited time and having the longer runway gives more time to have guided exploration of career goals and school research so I encourage you to reach out to consultants now if you think you will engage one for the coming year. Plus it is good to get a spot with the consultant you want as the best consultants will fill up fast.
