There are only two contenders:
A and C.

Others could be ignored because of parallelism issue.

There is some rule which goes follows:

'Because of' in this sentence describes the collapse (verb).

Can anyone plz explain why option B is wrong?

More X Than Y. X and Y must be parallel. In option B, more by poor... Than due to... Are not parallel. Thus option B is wrong.

No this is incorrect.

B is wrong because "due to" itself is incorrect. Due to translates to "caused by", so whenever you see it in a sentence, substitute "caused by" in place of due do and see if that meaning makes sense.

On the GMAT, due to will NEVER be used to replace because of; due to can only replace caused by.

Here:

(B) that the collapse was caused more by the poor management of funds than caused by customers not buying the company’s products

This question is clearly testing ability to distinguish "due to" and "because of" usage.

(A) that the company collapsed more due to poor management of funds than due to customers not buying the company’s products
"The company collapsed" is a verb. "Due to" can only modify nouns.

(B) that the collapse was caused more by the poor management of funds than due to customers not buying the company’s products
Should be "caused more by X than by Y".

(C) that the company collapsed more because of poor management of funds than because of customers not buying its products

(D) that the collapse was more due to poor management of funds than because of customers not buying the company’s products
"The collapse" is a noun & can't be modified by "because of".

(E) that poor management of funds did more to cause the collapse than did customers by not buying the company’s product
Where did the company go? "Cause the collapse" of what?

What is the answer? A or C? And Why?

C. Here's my reasoning:

(A) that the company collapsed more due to poor management of funds than due to customers not buying the company’s products

As the OP mentioned, due to can only be used if it is used to describe causation between two nouns (classic example: the game's delay was due to rain, rather than: the game was delayed because of rain). In this sentence, the 'company collapsed' is a verb, and so requires use of because of, or alternate phrasing.

(C) that the company collapsed more because of poor management of funds than because of customers not buying its products

This one does not have any errors—it correctly uses because of for verb phrases, and also places the items in parallel. More because of x than because of y.
