GW has a better brand overall in the world. Gw is much well known in the world than william and mary.
Go to GW for the brand and the location.
You are in the heart of DC. But you do give up the campus experience. if you want a campus and it is a must go to W&M

Both are pretty good, got admit to both and opted for W&M as I wanted a smaller program. Choose where you'd feel comfortable, what's right for you financially (living in DC isn't cheap) and somewhere you can enjoy those two years that you have as you won't get it again.
Your advice will help me make a decision.
