I have work experience of 2.3 years . Is it necessary to have a job currently while applying for mba as i have resigned my job.

It should not affect the prospects if the break is not very long. But for some of the MBA programs, your current experience may fall short.

Hi --

No, it's not a requirement. And schools won't hold an employment gap against you, especially if it's a small one. Use the optional essay to explain what are you using your time for now (which should be more than MBA applications) and have a clear, logical explanation for why you resigned.

Good luck!

It is not a requirement. But long break may affect negatively if you do not have a proper reason to defend yourself.
