No idea. Just checked and there's no change yet. Too bad I'm traveling in Asia at the moment, since it will likely be impossible for me to sleep tonight, lol.

will they call you first or change online status first? and will they send out bad news first?

I'm a R1 waitlister. They began calling at 9am all the way to around 5pm with the application status updated around 5pm to 5:30pm.

As I recall, they make all their calls first, and update/send e-mails later. If you're international, you may get an acceptance e-mail instead of a call, (this may have happened to some US/Canada-based folks in R1 as well - not sure). So, don't worry about constantly refreshing the application site - won't do you any good until you get the e-mail. Just try and treat yourself to a nice lunch, and write 15-20 pages of your novel while you're waiting. No biggie.
