Wharton Admit with Scholarship

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I ended up working with MJ for my bschool applications a couple years ago, and she was excellent. I originally chose her because I hoped to get into Wharton (and she had specific expertise with Wharton), and she helped me get into 5 of my 7 schools (Wharton, Tuck, Booth, Kellogg, and Sloan) with ~400k combined scholarships and multiple Forte Fellowships.

When selecting an MBA consultant, consider what style of consulting you would prefer. MJ was great in helping me develop a cohesive story, brainstorming, and answering any question I had. Then my editor helped me make sure I was conveying these ideas well. I was also in touch with Scott at a higher level throughout the entire process. Overall with so many touchpoint, I felt like I had a community supporting me.

I've loved Wharton so far and am very happy with my decision to go with MJ from Personal MBA Coach!

I worked with MJ from Personal MBA Coach on my MBA applications. She was a huge help throughout the entire application process. She took the time to get to know me and understand my story and my goals to make the most of my applications. From refining post-MBA goals to essay topics to interview prep, she broke down each application step into easy-to-tackle tasks and was available for guidance throughout the entire process. She is very familiar with the nuanced differences between different schools and applications. I was offered admission to 3 of the M7, including one of HSW. I would highly recommend working with Personal MBA Coach!

Very helpful and personal guidance

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

MJ is very knowledgeable about the admissions process, understands what the ad-com is trying to uncover from the essays. Helped me to portray myself in the best way, while helping me retain my authentic voice. The interview prep was also comprehensive. She was regularly available to help me clear doubts and brainstorm better. She did a great job in helping me identify unique strengths of my profile which I could highlight in the essays to help my personality shine through. She was also very comprehensive in the reviews, helping me to concisely communicate the message across. Overall it was a great learning experience and I got 1 M7 admit.

MJ Shores was fantastic

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Working with MJ Shores through personal MBA coach was well worth it. She was professional and patient. I felt prepared and knowledgeable when going through resumes, essays and the interview. I ultimately got into Wharton which was the goal I set out for! They have admissions knowledge and experience that you as the applicant simply won’t have. They guide you through the process and really take a lot of the mystery out of the process. I would do it all over again if I had to. A full time MBA is a huge investment of time and money as is, I felt it was worth it to go into the application process as informed as possible and this service met my wishes.

Personal MBA Coach Pushes Non-Traditional Candidate to Success

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Personal MBA Coach provided a clear, structured process that pushed me, a non-traditional candidate with significant gaps in work experience and varied industry history, to zero in on exactly what I wanted out of the MBA and how to communicate that to my target schools. The results speak for themselves: I was admitted to all schools I applied to (T10 and M7) with 85-100% tuition scholarships at each school.
I knew Personal MBA Coach was different from other consultants I had spoken with after talking to Scott. His generosity, creativity, and genuine willingness to meet the applicant where they are at in the application process and in terms of available resources stood out to me immediately. With his help, we crafted a package precisely tailored to my needs. The level of care and sense of mission with which he treats each applicant cascades through the organization, and I recognized the same qualities of Scott’s approach in the consultant I worked with, MJ Shores.
MJ was a delight from the start. She was curious about the entirety of my story, always searching for useful threads and themes that could be used to craft a compelling narrative for my candidacy. She pushed me to think critically and practically about every aspect of my application, demanding that every element I introduced had a practical application in how the MBA would help me achieve my goals or a practical impact on my story of why I needed to pursue an MBA now. Working with MJ was a rigorous, challenging process that helped me understand exactly what I want out of my MBA, future professional development, and the values I want to champion as a leader.
If you are a non-traditional candidate considering an MBA and feel daunted by the process or like an outsider who this path is not for, call Personal MBA Coach and speak with Scott. Personal MBA Coach gave me the support I needed to make my best possible application I could and I would recommend working with them to every prospective MBA candidate.

Guided path to MBA

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I started my journey unarmed and ignorant of the MBA admission scene. As I started reading about it I found out that I would requiere help to make the most of my time, otherwise I might even loose my momentum.
I read and interviewed with 5 different firms and felt with Scott and team a great rapport and trust from the very beginning. My expectations were aligned towards success which with my international 40-yr old profile were a challenge to begin with.
I felt the good of my decision when the work started and the gentle, expert, but steady guide. Breaking my head to create my story and phrase it the best way possible was hard work , but even though I had to rewrite several times I never felt alone and actually ended up admiring the output of all that effort and revisions.
The team is stellar and it’s clear there is a very clear teamwork and effort towards our success.
I feas able to see how good my choice was when I got 3 admissions with enviable scholarships materialize in my inbox in the first round.

Best Consultants in the Market!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

I could not be more pleased with my Personal MBA Coach experience. I received acceptances from 6/7 schools that I applied to and will be attending Wharton this fall. MJ and Scott were instrumental in this outcome, and I highly recommend working with this team.

What sets Personal MBA Coach apart is their team-based approach, in which the team reviews every candidate each week. I believe this approach was great to get profile feedback from the full team and better pressure test my story. I worked primarily with MJ, who was incredible at keeping me organized and forging my story and essays to present the best version of myself. I also greatly appreciated how accessible both MJ and Scott were. There were times when Scott made himself available even though I wasn't working directly with him. Scott is incredibly strategic, and it was great to get his thoughts on certain things throughout the process (e.g., test scores).

When I started hearing back from schools with interview decisions, MJ, Scott, and the broader team were extremely helpful in preparing me for these interviews, especially for Wharton’s TBD. Scott allowed me to attend a handful of extra TBD mock interviews free of charge to make sure I was best prepared for the interview. These services are not cheap, and I greatly appreciated how he / the team did not nickel and dime me for these additional interviews. In my opinion, this demonstrates that Personal MBA Coach is more focused on their applicants’ outcomes than on the dollars they collect.

Lastly, I received phone calls from both MJ and Scott after each acceptance, which was such a nice touch. It really goes to show how supportive and excited they are of your success. Personal MBA Coach was truly wonderful to work with.

A phenomenal experience with Personal MBA Coach

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

I had an awesome experience with Personal MBA Coach. From the minute you sign up, you begin with a very clear roadmap for how the MBA admissions process works. They are very knowledgeable consultants, I worked with MJ primarily, and she is very organized, know the admissions process inside and out. Truly comprehensive from brainstorming to submission. Super prompt with edits. All in all, I was accepted to my top choice EMBA program and highly, highly recommend MJ and Personal MBA Coach to anyone looking to hire an admissions consultant. Thank you, MJ and Scott for all of your guidance.

Best Consultants in the Market

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Applying in the cycle for matriculation in 2024 was a last minute decision for me. I was about 1.5 months out from my target schools' deadlines and I decided now was the time to apply for my MBA. I interviewed 6 or so of the "big boys" in the MBA consulting market and after conducting my interviews with each over the course of a few weeks, the obvious winner was Scott and his team at Personal MBA coach. I could not be more happy with my decision and the results.
They have a small enough team to make the experience personalized and for you to feel personally catered to with any request. Additionally, their staff are all highly experienced, industry-tested individuals. I worked constantly with MJ to perfect my resume, personal statements, and other parts of my application and I know for a fact that my application would not be as strong if I didn't have her help. After evaluating all the companies, individual consultants, their prices, and services included in each package, Personal MBA coach had the best value and quality of services for the price.
The entire process was very structured and organized but still flexible enough to allow for some deviation from the program to extract the best out of me and work around my schedule. Turnaround times on proofreading iterations were super quick and, despite starting my application late, I submitted a few weeks early.
I had received an acceptance from Anderson ($$) and am awaiting a decision from Marshall, but I cannot thank the Personal MBA Coach team enough for the help and guidance along the way. 110% recommend to anyone looking for peace of mind, a plan to success, and quality results.

M7 Admit with Scholarship - Highly Recommend!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by school email address [?]

Personal MBA coach was incredible. The team is incredibly supportive and professional, while simultaneously being straight forward when helping me craft my story. I worked with a member of Scott's team and it is completely worth the investment! My GPA was in range but my test scores were on the lower side, so MJ helped me hone in on my story. She worked with me to tease out the details of my stories and articulate it in a clear and concise way. She and the team also prepped me for each of my interviews including a group one! I would highly encourage anyone applying to business school to consider them.
