TTP for the win!

I absolutely loved the TTP curriculum. The sections were broken down into manageable parts and the material was explained in great detail. I used other GMAT prep courses for my first three attempts and on my fourth, I decided to pay for TTP. It was definitely worth it. I think that TTP differentiates itself in two key areas. The first is the fact it helps you stay organized through their flashcards and the general structure of the course. And secondly, the curriculum is very good at picking up on your weaknesses. I definitely recommend TTP to anyone who is serious about getting a good score on the GMAT.

My experience with e-GMAT

Course e-GMAT Online 360

I went through all the videos for Verbal section at-least twice.
Sentence Correction:
I feel that most of the videos teach super basic stuff. After studying such basics, I attempted my GMAT and was very surprised to see most of what i learnt from eGMAT was very convoluted, hard to apply with timing. My verbal scores after preparation were very very bad and are lesser than my scores on first diagnostic test.
If you are a non-native speaker like me, I would suggest you go through Manhattan books and solve as many official practise test questions as possible

Critical Reasoning:
CR was pretty good. The pre-thinking process taught in the course helped me answer questions much faster.

GMAT 720 in ~2 months thanks to eGMAT

Hello everyone
Sharing my review for e-GMAT's course. I worked with Dhananjay (DJ) for e-GMAT for the last stretch of my preparation and it was an awesome experience throughout. I am very thankful to e-GMAT for their guidance and support.

Before joining e-GMAT, I studied by myself for around 3 months but scored only a 660. I joined e-GMAT 2 months later after another botched attempt, realizing importance of structured preparation and guidance. After I wrote the initial sigma X mock, I got advice from DJ on where exactly I was lacking- CR timing and accuracy in Quant were key issues.

E-GMAT teaching pedagogy - DJ suggested me to go through the SC and CR modules for practicing the Meaning Based Approach in SC and Pre-thinking in CR and document my errors in the 'new error logs' formats that drill down on patterns of mistakes. The verbal questions in both the modules and scholaranium are of high quality. They helped me a lot in improving my timing strategy for verbal. The custom verbal quizzes that I took were a very close representation of the actual GMAT questions. My practice of solving awfully long and complicated RC passages from scholaranium helped me tremendously on the actual GMAT.
I used Quant 2.0 with Xpert AI (Scholaranium 2.0) for practicing quant and took the cementing as well as custom quizzes as directed by DJ. The interface and quality of questions was exceptional. Although I felt at times that e-GMAT quant questions are far more difficult than those on the GMAT, they really broadened my ability to approach and solve tough questions within 2-3 minutes.

LMP Support - I was in the last mile program and DJ was my assigned mentor. He was a perfect mentor throughout my time with e-GMAT. He was available when I required his inputs and offered precise advice continuously. 2 days before my first scheduled attempt, I scored a 640 on the sigma X mock and my confidence was absolutely destroyed (I had never scored below 720 in any official mocks). I remember DJ was driving when I contacted him; he immediately recorded an advice video for me right then and there from his car and suggested I reschedule the exam by 2 weeks to polish my algebra, geometry, and CR. His prompt reply and precise advice probably saved me a precious GMAT attempt. I followed his advice to a T and my next scheduled attempt was much smoother. The test taking strategies suggested by DJ worked wonderfully as well.

Outside the actual studies, I found eGMAT team to be extremely supportive and helpful. DJ and team helped me keep myself motivated. I never had to wait long for response on my questions. This was very important to me as my job is very demanding and studies have to be concentrated in a small window during the day.

Overall, I think e-GMAT is the best available course for GMAT. Especially if you're looking for score improvement, I can say this with certainty that you can blindly choose the course.

I had scored in the mid-200s on my first two diagnostic tests. Quant was a significant weakness! I am a math idiot. I have always struggled to understand math concepts - they primarily go over my head than in. So, to get my score up to 700 or cross 700, it was vital for me to find a prep course where the concepts were put forth simply. I tried a couple of other providers before stumbling upon Target Test Prep ("TTP"). The material I found was simple (I found a couple of other courses I had given a shot before TTP highly complex) to understand while being comprehensive enough to cover the required concepts. TTP was of great help in getting my score to 700 in the first go.

My journey to HEC Paris MBA

Hi everyone,
I start this review after being selected for the september 2022 intake of the HEC Paris MBA. This is a great achievement I would like to share with anyone willing to read it and I am incredibly happy to get this MBA starting. First things first, let's recall all this journey from it's beginning.

My profile :
my name is ilias, I am 29, married and father of a son. I am a nuclear engineer working for a well-known french electricity utilities company since 6 years. I graduated in 2015 and I also have another master degree in International Relations obtained in 2019 and followed online while working.

I started prospecting for MBA's after my last master in 2019. I quickly understood that the biggest working part to get ready to apply would be the GMAT. I bought the OG's and made this typical beginner's mistake : I dived directly into it and started doing questions and questions, trying to understand the philosophy behind this test. After 4 months of such a preparation, I took a first GMAT test in a center. The night before I didn't sleep well and during the same day I poured a liquid on all my OG books while revising last minute. I can recall such a detail because It really made my day worse. At the end of the test I got a poor 520. It was a shock to me and I knew I hade to requestion all my strategy if I wanted to reach a 700+ score. To complete the frame, before this first try, I didn't even know that I can take mocks to prepare, so I took none of it.
I have let this topic on hold for few months and I decided to invest in my prep and started reading reviews about prep websites.
October 2020 I bought an access to Magoosh website and I started my preparation from scratch. I watched every single video and I did all questions possible. I meticulously started an error log book and set a planning to be ready to take the GMAT 3 months later.
After the said months, I took two mocks and I reached a score of 590 and 620 at best. It was clearly insufficient to take the real GMAT.
Same experience, I decided to postpone my GMAT preparation as I felt I would never reach my target score. So, from january 2021 to may 2021, I did a lean six sigma certification to boost a little more my CV.
June 2021, I started again my GMAT prep. This time I was determined to push the boundaries and be disciplined to reach my target score. I bought the crash course plan from GMATWhiz. I have read great reviews and the price was acceptable.
So during the whole summer, I took part of the weekly video meetings to solve verbal questions and quant questions. My weakness was clearly in verbal because I was a non-native speaker. I trusted the process and followed every single recommandation given from the teacher, Sunita, for the verbal part. I also gave great confidence in the recommandation given from the artificial intelligence program of the GMATWhiz software.
At mid-preparation which was around august, I decided to take a mock : I obtained a very encouraging 670. This score gave me strength to work more and more on my weaknesses rather than focusing on everything already learnt.
I took another mock on september and I reached 660. At this time, I decided to take the real GMAT test as application deadlines for round 1 were really fast approaching.
So I took the GMAT online test at home, and I really loved this experience. The comfort of working from home relieved me from a lot of stress as it is an environment I know.
After a week of taking the GMAT, I received the result : 640.
As it was not a score I was aiming I felt a little disappointed. I promised myself I would continue my preparation but I also decided I would apply with such a score.
I applied to a single school, which is HEC Paris because it was the right program for me in terms of location, program length, reputation etc.
After following all the process, I received in later october the great notice : I was proposed a seat into the HEC Paris MBA program.

This journey is a tribute to all people who feel depressed and think GMAT is everything in an application. My example shows that it is just a part of the whole profil assessment.
I would like to really thank all GMATWhiz team because their course gave me the right approach I was desperately looking for while dealing with the GMAT standardized test. Focussing on my weak part, getting disciplined, having an error book and working hard, where my keys to improve my score. I would also like to mention the great work made on the GMATWhiz software : It is incredibly powerful to spot the key areas one should work on.
Thank you for reading me,
Cheers,
ilias

With e-gmat, You will always get a feeling that there is someone who is with you along this beautiful journey of GMAT prep and who will go above and beyond to help you in achieving your target score.

Around the end of 2020, I gave my first diagnostic test and got a score that was nowhere close to my target score. As a result, I started my research for a good online course for the GMAT. I went through the course reviews here on GMAT club and decided to go with a full GMAT course of e-gmat. Now when I look back, It was one of the best decisions I took for my GMAT prep.

I will structure my review into 2 broad buckets:

Course Structure :

The course is beautifully structured. I started my verbal preparation with Sentence Correction and gradually moved to critical reasoning and reading comprehension. Post completing the verbal section, I utilized the quant course to brush up on my concepts and practice hard questions.

Post completing a subsection, I would start practicing questions in the Scholaranium platform. One of the key learning during my prep is that quality matters over quantity. This brings me to the second point :

Mentorship and help from the Customer Success team:

The support which I received from e-gmat team, especially the customer success team, was instrumental in breaking the 700 barrier. My interaction with Aditee was helpful in figuring out the areas where I was faltering. She helped me realize the importance of maintaining an error log and how to do a strategic review of not only the questions which I got incorrect but also the questions which I marked correctly.

Overall a big thumbs up to the entire team of e-gmat for creating this brilliant course. I would highly recommend the course to anyone who wants to improve their verbal score and ace the GMAT.

GMAT online coaching from EG is quite comprehensive and helpful, it has helped me increasing my score from 570 to 620, however the subscription validity is for very less period of time. Also, Verbal questions should be more simulating to the original GMAT exam. The numbers of mock tests are not sufficient, EG can think of increasing it to atleast 25 numbers. Please share about the course you have taken or are taking at this time. What are your favorite elements and which ones perhaps are weaknesses that could be improved.
Finally, if you can, please provide specific examples from your experience to help illustrate a better picture.
Thank you for your review - we appreciate it!

TTP: The best flexible plan available

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Course Target Test Prep Flexible Prep

I was looking at options for GMAT test plans, when TTP offered me a 5 day free trial. I had decided to take the GMAT once I am comfortable with at least 50% of the course, and decide the date of exam accordingly. At the end of the trial I was so hooked on to the course material, the detailed study plan, the structure of the courses that I decided to purchase the one month flexi plan. Having a flexible per month plan at $99 gives much freedom to choose the date of GMAT exam.
TTP offers a study plan based on your score target, which I found extremely helpful. My greatest concern was Verbal since I am a non native speaker. I started with the verbal courses which made me realize that the courses are structured very well. It is not just rules jotted down but enough examples to elucidate each concept. Not only that, any doubt I had, I used the feedback section to ask a question. Marty got back to me almost immediately providing further explanation for the SC/CR rule . The topic exams divided at 3 levels gives scope to build concepts, test your concepts and learn from them. I found the CR material extremely well structured and detailed. The provision to take notes on the go was a plus. The best part is it is almost like chatting to Scott and the team, because anytime you have a feedback you can just send them and they will reply fast enough for you not to forget what you asked in the first place.
The best topic was GMAT strategy. You know that good score is not just about answering all the questions right within time. It tells you that scoring well is also about taking a guess and moving on. The GMAT test taking strategy section will help you on your test day. Overall, I think it was the wisest $99 spent.

Its a common misconception that solving the official guides alone will help us reach our target score. I realized it after giving a diagnostic GMAT by e-GMAT.
To reach my target score I ended up taking the e-GMAT course. Honestly, it is the best decision I had taken. The videos provided by e-GMAT really helped me build my foundation and the sectional quizzes helped me cement it.

e-GMAT Scholaranium is where I could put my learning to test and narrow down on my weak spots and work on them. The solution provided by e-GMAT for each question is amazingly helpful.

Overall what I learnt was that to prep properly solving questions correctly was not enough, we must also know why we got the question wrong and that is what e-GMAT helped me with. I highly recommend everyone to go through the e-GMAT course to reach their target score.

I purchased the e-GMAT Course (Quant and Verbal both packages) after going through a free trail version. What really set them apart from other test prep companies is the analysis provided after every Scholaranium test which helps you gauge your strengths and weaknesses.

The verbal course is phenomenal. Some reading strategies taught in the course have helped me immensely through the journey. Quant questions are good for practise.

Coming to the Sigma-X mock tests - I scored a 700 in the fifth and the last mock which is very close to my actual GMAT score of 710. Dhananjay (DJ) mentored me during the final phase of my preparation. The kind of dedication that he and others at e-GMAT show is remarkable! Thank you for being a part of my jouney.

If you're preparing for GMAT, do check them out.
