I was initially using other books for my study (MGMAT books) which were really good. However, I ran into Magoosh and that really helped me in a couple of ways: 1) their problems are excelent (sometimes, it is very easy to find poor GMAT problems in the internet, especially in the sentence correction area); 2) their maths videos were really really useful to me and in some areas were more insightful that the MGMAT books; and 3) it was really easy for me to go online and do a couple of verbal problems whenever I had 5 free minutes at work.

I did not use the verbal videos (I did use the verbal problems) because I though I did not need them as much and because I though they were a bit dense.

I asked them for help re two problems twice and they replied within 24 hours.

I am not saying Magoosh will replace hard work. There are no shortcuts in the GMAT. I am saying that, in my opinion, I would not have got 730 in my first try if it was not for magoosh (amongsts other things, obviosuly).

All the video lessons are very helpful. I have actually found the Critical Reasoning to be most helpful. The Grammar videos are also very detailed and very focused on GMAT question types. The most interesting is the quiz after each module, this really is a warm-up before practicing Official Guide. Furthermore, explanations of every question in the quiz and lesson are excellent. The GMAT is really a test of applications, and during the practice, students must identify their mistakes in every question they attempt wrong. So, the Magoosh premium is really a great learning and practice resource for test-takers. Most importantly, this is the most cost-effective resource in the market. I highly recommend Magoosh.

I tried Gmat exam twice already. At that time, I just used official books to study and prepare for the exam. I couldn’t get a good score. I have realized that I definitely need some helps. After I decided to take online class, I did lots of research and then found eGMAT is the best one for me, a non-native student.
EGMAT Verbal Online Course is really a good resource! It explains three verbal sections (Sentence Correction, Critical Reasoning, Reading Compression) and Integrated Reasoning in a very useful way in its videos and relevant materials. Especially, the sentence correction part gives clear explanation of all the commonly tested topics on the GMAT. Some tricks and tips that can be used in GMAT exam are really useful.

After going through the course I started to feel comfortable in Verbal section. I am doing consistently well in my practice tests and I confident to get a satisfied score in my next attempt at the GMAT.

I scored Q48 on the real GMAT, but being from an overrepresented demographic, I decided to try and boost my Q score. I took a chance on e-GMAT.

This course would be a great starting point if you're scoring below 48 or just beginning your quant studies. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good use of my time. Since I already had such a solid understanding of the concepts, I spent much of the course filtering out what to "re-learn" in the e-GMAT way. The course material is incredibly comprehensive - Japinder and Harsh were particularly great instructors - but there was absolutely NO focus on test-taking strategy (which in my opinion, is at least 40% of scoring in the 80th percentile and above).

My score on the real GMAT actually decreased. I suspect that trying to learn e-GMAT's methods was overkill for someone like me who had already put in months of study. In addition, I was very disappointed in Payal's response - she simply said that I must have made silly errors, implied e-GMAT had nothing to do with it, and then told me my score was good enough anyways so there was no point in retaking. So disappointing, especially because I've been so impressed by Payal's SC seminars!

Overall, if you are already scoring 48+, I advise looking elsewhere to focus on test-taking strategy and deep error analysis.

I took my first GMAT exam in February 2014, with disappointing results. After a year of not studying/thinking about business school, I decided to give the GMAT another go.

I signed up for Magoosh Premium to compliment the MGMAT strategy guides. I followed Mike's comprehensive 12-week study plan for advanced students. The Magoosh question bank and video lessons were extremely helpful. I particularly liked the feature that allowed you go move from the question bank to a relevant lesson, and back, without losing your place. The results summary on the dashboard helped me track my progress and provided a much needed confidence boost heading into test day.

I ultimately scored 730 on the real thing. I do not think I could have done that without the supporting material provided by Magoosh.

My GMAT score when I first took a trial test without any form of preparation whatsoever was 620.
In three weeks, I took the real GMAT and got a score of 740.

Magoosh GMAT math is extremely thorough. They have 800+ questions, that you can work on, by difficulty level. They have excellent (video) solution explanations for each question, that teach you the shortest way to get to the answer.

Magoosh verbal covers the main points. It's good, but I think it takes more than this to substantially increase your verbal score.

Hi guys,

Grammar was always my weakness, but I could solve that, at least in the GMAT. I would like to say that I am more than happy with e-GMAT Verbal Online. I had taken 21 / 26% in the Verbal section of the GMAT, after that I signed in the curse and concluded it, so I took 38 / 85%.

Consequently, I was admitted at the University of Texas class 2017!

I believe that the best thing of this course is its approach. They have a very analytical approach to teach grammar, which in my point of view, is easier to understand.

I think that if there is something that they could improve is the platform, it is a Flash based platform and, as far I am concerned, it is not supported on iPhone and iPads.

e-gmat is one of the best course I have opted till date. I tried various courses which offered shortcuts for sentence correction, which I merely used to mug-up and few times caught off guard when a new question pops up in exam, but after taking e-gmat course, I even read news papers with view of dependent and independent clause notations.
Initially I struggled to get compatible with online course but once I got used to it, things working as charm. I'm even opting to go away with paperback and get a Kindle soon.
Honestly I recommend the course for any once who wish to improve there verbal skills.

The Magoosh course was straight to the point and just what I needed to get prepped for the GMAT in under a month of study time. Going in I had no idea of even the format of the exam and Magoosh went from start to finish explaining everything along the way.
