TTP was the holy grail of quant for me because of its division into chapters and the chapter tests having easy, medium and hard questions. Its material is thorough and encompasses all the official gmat mocks and what I saw on test day as well. The Verbal section is still under development but I found the same level of material there that I found in the quant section. The material is easy to review, the note system was great, and instructors were easy to reach and talk to. I didn't have the determination to finish every chapter and every test but all my weaker topics were very easily improved.

I am not a naturally Quant inclined person – a notion that I still emotionally wrestle with. Regardless, I knew that I wanted to improve my Quant score as I scored a 99% on Verbal but a 45% on Quant during my first GMAT test. I spent probably around 3xs the time on studying Quant vs Verbal at the point. I took a Target Test Prep mock, as well as those of Kaplan and Mprep. I found the explanations to be simpler and more elegant; sometimes, other prep courses’ Quant explanations felt confusing and convoluted. I used Target Test Prep as my primary Quant prep resources (as well as GMATclub, which is amazing) thereafter. Unfortunately, my GMAT test scores were all over the map, but I can confidently share that TTP raised my Quant score from 43 (45%) to its highest 48 (67%).

15 Years out of School - 38 to 46 Quant

I'm a mid-career professional looking to transition to business school. I was very worried about the GMAT since I've been out of school for so long; even though my job (and my college major) were quantitative, my diagnostic score was very low, and I simply couldn't remember the basics. I almost didn't pursue it after reading so many awful stories of people who studied 4+ hours daily on weeknights and 6+ hours on weekends for months. I didn't think a schedule like that would work for me with my career and it seemed like that was the only way to truly prep and get a score over 700.

Initially, I tried the true self-study route and went with Magoosh, which was great, but far too unstructured for me - I found out quickly that I don't work well without analytical feedback and tracking, so I switched over to TTP and set myself up on the Expert track. As anyone who has experienced it can tell you, there is a TON of material, but I felt I needed the entire course to just refresh my skills. It took me about 9 months to complete 90% of the material (I skipped around through the last chapter / practice test phase as time ran out, but was diligent about completing the content in general). However, I only spent maybe an hour on most weekdays working on it, and 2-3 on each weekend day. You could probably get through it a LOT faster if you're wiling to devote more time each week (or if you go on the Advanced track instead, which I didn't try).

The key to TTP that worked for me is that the sheer volume of practice questions forces you to get comfortable with the problem types and material. By no means would I say I ever got confident on Data Sufficiency, for example, but I had enough practice narrowing down and reasoning through answers that I could get just enough of the hard ones right to stay on track. On all of the practice tests and on test day itself, I still felt like the questions were all so challenging - but I clearly had absorbed the strategies and material enough to succeed. I was shocked and delighted to see scores of 700 and 720 on the practice tests, and a 720 on the actual exam.

The material is clear and there are helpful descriptions and video explanations of every single question. Additionally, the course really does focus on the somewhat strange applications of the material that actually show up on the GMAT. Even though I felt like the real test was VERY hard, I did recognize the types of questions and was able to identify and recall the course material; I appreciated the tailored nature of the course in that way. The analytics section is amazing, and the single most valuable thing I did was go back through chapters at the end and sort by the type of questions I got wrong the most - highly recommended for anyone to target your learning. All the staff was helpful and quick to respond if I ever had a question, and importantly, they do not spam you with thousands of emails after you sign up.

I truly credit the course for getting me above the 700 score goal I'd set for myself, and allowing me to believe my MBA goals could actually become a reality. Highly recommend!

TTP works phenomenal even for Verbal

I used TTP for Sentence correction, and I have to say that it's Spectacular, Lots of people talk about TTP quant, which is ofc phenomenal, but SC is also on another level, if you have problems in verbal part, do not hesitate to purchase TTP course. I am a non-native speaker who struggled with Sentence correction, I tried almost everything on the market, but I have to admit, TTP has the most comprehensive verbal guide and their targeted practice does the magic!
At first TTP introduces the topics, you get accustomed to the exact things that are tested on the real exam, and then you get the targeted drills which focus on very important areas.

Target Test Prep was immensely helpful in preparing for the GMAT and directly contributed to my 70-point score improvement. Having used another test prep program, I found Target Test Prep to be extremely engaging and helpful. The Quant review was structured very well and was done in a way that the concepts built on each other and did not bounce around. The sections were extremely detailed and everything was easily laid out and sections could be referred back to easily. The Verbal review was also very helpful, and I found the Sentence Correction sections especially helpful as this is where I struggled on the Verbal section. The video explanations for both Quant and Verbal were very thorough and provided detail explanations of the problems at hand and discussed how certain sections were related. The people at Target Test Prep were also very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend anyone considering a test prep program at least try Target Test Prep.

Best course for improving Quant

If you start with less than Q40 on mock tests, you can improve to at least Q44- Q45 after finishing the entire course. If you start on the low Q40s you can improve to at least a Q47.

Honestly the content and the structure is the best there is on the market. The repetition and quizzes make you understand and dominate all the different types of questions gmat quant has.

I didnt try verbal but if it follows the same structure as the quant course I am sure is just as useful.

Also the level of service and attention tu customers that Jeff and Scott has is excellent, they were alwasy super helpful during my studies.

When I took my first cold exam, I didn't even remember how to get the slope of a line. But going through Target Test Prep enabled me to build a rock-solid foundation in the quant section that led me all the way to a Q48. The program is super well-organized, with excellent presentation and a logical method for helping you retain the material. The material itself is incredibly comprehensive, including TTP's new verbal section. The chapters on modifiers and comparisons helped me refine my strengths in the verbal section. I highly recommend using TTP for your prep, especially if you intend to use only one material, like me.

Strongly recommend TTP!

The TTP course is extremely well structured and detailed. The quants lessons which delve deep into each concept and the practice sessions at the end of every chapter help build a strong foundation. Along with my confidence, my quants score also improved substantially from the initial practice sessions. I must also mention that the recently added verbal lessons are also superbly designed. I believe that the lessons in critical reasoning were especially useful to me and helped me score better in the verbal section. I was also able to track my progress the help of the analytics and error tracker features. I was extremely disciplined with the study plan and even though I couldn’t fully complete the course in two months, I was able to increase my score significantly. In addition to the lessons in quants and verbal, I found that with the tips to handle exam day stress, I was able to manage my test day anxiety and I remained calm throughout the test.

My advice to prospective students is to follow the course plan and if possible, since the course is intense and, in my opinion, difficult to complete in two months, spend three or four months with the TTP dedicated study plan.

I strongly recommend TTP to prospective GMAT candidates.

Highly recommend it for anyone who is serious about his or her GMAT prep. The quant section is extremely detailed and simplified at the same time. The repetitive revision and chapter tests help you properly apply the learned concepts. For the verbal section too, the course is well put and comprehensive. Except for RC, this is a one stop for your entire Quant and Verbal preparation.
Additionally, the course also provides tips on how to handle time-pressure, anxiety etc during the prep. period and during the actual exam. The only con is that TTP doesn't provide any practice CATs.
Nevertheless, I attribute a major part of my success to TTP.

Weak quant? You need TTP!

Prior to starting with TTP, I thought I would never get above Q45. I was never good at math, never liked it - it was a struggle.

My quant score fluctuated between Q40-Q43, and I was going through all the different GMAT prep providers and their free trials. I did not expect to find anything good enough worth spending money.

However, after free 5 day trial with TTP I immediately purchased another month. Reasons as follows:
- Every topic is explained so well, through a combination of theory explanation videos, huge amount of practice questions and very detailed debriefs for every question (which was incredibly helpful - as you understand immediately where you went wrong and don't make the same mistake again)
- The level of "difficulty" for every topic is slowly escalated, so you can work up your confidence at your own pace
- Every single topic has DOZENS of practice questions, so you can really master each topic
- TTP gives you your stats broken down by topic and sub-topic, showing you what you know well and what you don't know at all - helps you target your weakest points

With 1 month with TTP, I was able to get Q48 on the real exam - something I never thought I would be able to do!

TTP also has ever expanding library of verbal resources and I learned quite a few helpful CR techniques there!

Scott and his team have been great and supportive as well!
