Strengths:
Good for practicing DI, let's the user created sectionals that can recreate the exam sections
Would make the product better:
Minor - interface lags sometimes
I’ve been using the GMAT Official Guide online version for a few weeks now and honestly it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The questions are great, exactly what you'd expect from the official source, and I like that you can customize practice sets by question type and difficulty. That part really helps with targeted studying.
But the platform itself isn’t the best. It’s kind of slow at times. Also, the performance tracking could be way better. It feels basic for such an important exam. Overall it’s useful because of the content but the user experience needs improvement.
Strengths:
> This exam 5 seemed easy to free mock1 & 2 I have purchased.
> Gives good practice of timings and kind of questions
> Can be reset to give you in total 4 tests
> I like that it can be reset - even when the 2 attempts are exhausted to practice timing and pacing
Would make the product better:
> Maybe provide a downloadable format of the test report - in-order for me to share it I need to take screenshots
> For the in-corrects no solution is provided - so you have to depend on Google or anyone who can explain - should provide answers
Overall - I think these 2 are a good hybrid if you are low on cash and want to explore tougher exam pattern. Basis my research ppl find 5 & 6 more tough than 3 & 4 - and it gives a good understanding on how the exam will be on D-day. I was planning to schedule my exam - but the score gave me a check and then 1 decided to schedule it 2 weeks later
Also I am an Indian and while purchasing the exam I faced quite some challenges. You cannot use HDFC - there is some criteria GMAC is not meeting - so it does not allows it. I tried AMEX and AXIs too - they didn't work. Only thing that worked was Kotak credit card enabled for international transitions. I would say before buying the actual slot - this also helps you to understand how payments will work.
Strengths:
The GMAT Prep Exams 3 and 4 by GMAC are extremely realistic and closely mimic the actual GMAT exam experience. The quality of questions, the adaptive algorithm, and the timing simulation help build confidence and familiarity. The explanations provided are clear and detailed, which makes it easier to understand mistakes and learn from them.
Would make the product better:
It would be helpful to include more detailed analytics about performance trends across sections and question types. Additionally, offering a few more practice exams or question sets as part of the package would add value for those who want extra practice without purchasing separate question banks.
I found the GMAT Prep Exams 3 and 4 by GMAC to be an excellent resource for anyone serious about preparing for the GMAT. The exams are designed to mirror the real test very accurately, both in terms of question difficulty and adaptive scoring. Taking these tests helped me gauge my readiness and identify the areas where I needed to improve. The explanations provided after each question were thorough and clear, which made it easier to refine my strategies. One of the best aspects is the realistic exam environment, which helps reduce anxiety on test day. I would recommend these practice exams to all GMAT aspirants looking for authentic practice material. Adding more detailed performance analytics and perhaps including additional tests would make this product even better. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Strengths:
Provides a good starting point on the current level of your understanding.
How far you need to improve in the GMAT journey
Would make the product better:
The test review can be viewable in Tablets as well..
Right now it doesn't work well with tabs.
Also sorting of the exam questions for review can be made easier
Overall a very good product to know where you are currently at.
to simulate the actual exam score, don't practice the mock questions earlier which might spike up your scores.
I have taken the exam mimicking the actual exam by taking 10 mins break.
One should atleast get the 6 official mocks which can help up with their prep and stay consistent with their journey....
Also each mocks can be taken twice and overall there are 6 official mocks which can be taken 12 times which can help with the preparation.
It's preferred that we take mocks towards the end of preparation and not use it up in the beginning with half baked prep.
Strengths:
The GMAT Official Guide stands out for its authenticity and reliability, being the only source of real questions released by the test makers themselves. This provides test-takers with an accurate sense of the exam's structure, difficulty, and question types. Its comprehensive coverage spans Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing sections, making it a one-stop resource for holistic preparation. The clear answer explanations help in understanding the rationale behind each solution, which is crucial for building conceptual clarity. The guide is also well-organized, progressing from easy to hard questions, which suits various levels of learners. The integration with the online platform, which offers additional practice and performance analytics, adds further value. For first-time test-takers, it acts as an essential foundation, and even for experienced ones, it serves as a reliable practice and benchmarking tool. Overall, it’s a trustworthy and indispensable resource for serious GMAT aspirants.
Would make the product better:
While the GMAT Official Guide is invaluable, it has areas where improvement could significantly enhance its utility. Firstly, the answer explanations—particularly for quantitative questions—often lack depth and alternative solution strategies. More detailed, step-by-step solutions would benefit learners struggling with foundational concepts. Additionally, the Verbal section explanations sometimes lean on technical grammar rules without offering intuitive or modern-day usage insights, which can be confusing. The guide would also benefit from incorporating adaptive practice tests to mirror the actual GMAT experience more closely. Though the online question bank is useful, its interface and analytics tools feel outdated compared to competitors' offerings like Manhattan Prep or Magoosh. Furthermore, introducing more strategy tips and time management techniques would provide a more holistic preparation approach. Lastly, the guide could include more diverse difficulty levels and question types for Integrated Reasoning and AWA sections, which often feel underrepresented. These updates would make it a more rounded, learner-friendly product.
The GMAT Official Guide remains the cornerstone of GMAT preparation, offering unparalleled access to real, retired questions from past exams. Its authenticity and comprehensive scope make it indispensable for anyone serious about achieving a competitive score. The structured layout, covering a wide array of topics across all test sections, ensures that students can gradually build their skills. However, it functions best as a practice and review tool rather than a teaching resource, since explanations are often too brief for deep learning. While the online component adds interactivity, it could benefit from more intuitive design and smarter analytics. Despite these drawbacks, the guide excels in familiarizing users with GMAT-style reasoning and question patterns. Used in conjunction with a conceptual learning resource or prep course, it significantly boosts a candidate's readiness. For most test-takers, it remains a must-have resource—reliable, consistent, and thoroughly aligned with the real exam's format and expectations.
Strengths:
GMAT Official Test 1 has several strengths that make it an essential resource for GMAT preparation:
Realistic Exam Experience: The test closely mirrors the actual GMAT in terms of question types, format, and timing. This gives test-takers an authentic preview of the exam experience, allowing them to practice under real test conditions and become familiar with the pacing and pressure they’ll face.
Comprehensive Coverage: It includes all four sections of the GMAT—Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing Assessment. This ensures that users can simulate the full exam and gauge their performance across different areas of the test.
Digital Format: The test is presented in a digital format that closely replicates the GMAT's computer-based interface. This allows candidates to get comfortable with the tools and layout they will encounter during the real exam, such as the ability to skip questions and flag items for review.
Adaptive Questioning: Like the actual GMAT, the test adapts to the test-taker’s performance, presenting more difficult questions if the user is answering correctly or easier ones if they're struggling. This adaptive structure helps to provide an accurate reflection of the candidate's ability level.
Official Scoring: Since the test is created by GMAC, it uses the same scoring model as the official exam, giving candidates a reliable measure of their potential performance. The score report includes details that can help users identify strengths and areas for improvement.
Time Management Practice: The test helps candidates practice managing their time effectively across all sections, a critical skill for the GMAT, where time constraints can be challenging.
These strengths make GMAT Official Test 1 an invaluable resource for serious test-takers looking to gain confidence and improve their performance.
Would make the product better:
While GMAT Official Test 1 is a valuable tool for test preparation, there are a few areas where it could be improved:
Answer Explanations: One of the most notable gaps is the lack of detailed answer explanations. While the test provides an authentic exam experience, it doesn’t offer explanations for why certain answers are correct or incorrect. Including detailed explanations, especially for challenging questions, would help test-takers better understand their mistakes and improve their reasoning skills.
Enhanced Feedback: The test could provide more in-depth feedback beyond just the score report. Insights into specific areas of weakness (e.g., particular question types or sections) and personalized recommendations for improvement would be valuable for targeted studying.
Study Mode or Practice Mode: Adding a "study mode" or "practice mode" feature, where users can pause and review questions after each one, would be helpful for those who want to focus on improving specific areas. This mode could allow users to review questions and answer explanations immediately after completing each one, enhancing learning and understanding.
Adaptive Testing Practice: While the adaptive nature of the test mimics the real exam, it could be beneficial to allow users to practice with different adaptive scenarios (e.g., easier or more challenging questions at various stages) to help them prepare for a variety of situations.
Timed and Untimed Options: Offering the option to take the test either in a timed, simulated exam environment or untimed would benefit users at different stages of their preparation. Untimed practice could help candidates focus on building accuracy before tackling the pressure of the real exam’s time constraints.
More Practice Tests: One test may not be sufficient for consistent practice, so offering additional full-length practice tests would provide more opportunities for users to assess their progress and build stamina.
These improvements would help make GMAT Official Test 1 an even more comprehensive and effective resource for candidates preparing for the exam.
The GMAT Official Test 1 is a critical resource for those preparing for the GMAT exam, as it offers an authentic simulation of the real test experience. Created by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the organization that administers the GMAT, this test provides candidates with the opportunity to experience a full-length exam, complete with all the sections of the real test: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing Assessment.
One of the standout features of GMAT Official Test 1 is its high level of realism. The test mimics the exact format, timing, and question types found on the actual GMAT, which helps candidates acclimate to the pressure and pacing they’ll face on exam day. The questions are representative of the range of difficulty levels seen on the test, providing a comprehensive assessment of the test-taker's abilities.
The test is delivered in a digital format, closely mirroring the actual GMAT's interface. This is a major advantage, as it gives candidates a chance to familiarize themselves with the layout and navigation tools used during the real exam. Additionally, the scoring system is aligned with the GMAT's scoring model, allowing candidates to get a clear idea of their potential performance.
One limitation of GMAT Official Test 1 is that it lacks detailed answer explanations, which some users may find helpful in understanding why certain answers are correct or incorrect. For in-depth review, candidates may need to refer to supplementary study materials.
Overall, GMAT Official Test 1 is an invaluable resource for anyone looking to simulate the real GMAT experience. Its realistic format, question quality, and scoring system make it a must-have for serious test-takers aiming to gauge their readiness and improve their performance.

Strengths:
Very accurate to real gmat
Would make the product better:
Nothing as such this is really as good as it can get
GMAC official practice exam 3 & 4 are really precise and actual GMAT like. The questions are well framed and very much what you can expect in GMAT test.
It helps in practicing the real GMAT test environment go through each step take your time and give the tests as if it was a real
exam. These practice exams are the best that’s there so only attempt it when you are completely prepared
I scored exactly same on GMAT as I scored in 3rd practice test.
The questions in quant , verbal and DI are all balanced and you need to select the order of section just like you would have in a real GMAT test
Strengths:
1. Introduction to the topics of Quants, Verbal & Data Insights.
Would make the product better:
I would prefer they improve their data insight section even more and add more challenging questions to their question bank.
The Official practice questions are great since they are GMAT themselves and are great to introduce you to the GMAT exam. The verbal section I think is the most useful out of them as the questions are of high level. The quants section is not that useful compared to the online courses. The data Insights questions are decent and they give the initial glance of the questions. All this combined with the two free tests they provide gives you a head start in preparation. If you need more preparation you can buy the remaining official test. If you are new to GMAT this is a must-buy. Good Luck with your preparation.

Would highly recommend the GMAC OG mocks. The best source to really help gauge your level. Ensure that you plan the timings and write the mocks to ensure you can reap the maximum output. I took mine two days before my official exam date at the same time to ensure I was getting my mind tuned to sitting around that time of the day. Follow the approach that works the best for you. If you want to take it couple of days before the scheduled date, that should also be okay, (read quite a lot of reviews in favour of this). So it’s a good option to consider purchasing.
The GMAT Official Mock Tests No. 3 and 4 are outstanding tools for assessing your current readiness. They offer a comprehensive evaluation, helping you identify your strengths and areas for improvement. The test structure closely mirrors the actual GMAT, providing a realistic practice experience. One of the standout features is the variety of questions, especially during reattempts, which ensures you are challenged with different problems each time. This diversity is crucial for thorough preparation. Overall, these mock tests are invaluable for anyone serious about excelling on the GMAT. They are, without a doubt, the best way to understand your current standing and prepare effectively for the real exam.
