GMAT Official Exams 1-6

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Strengths:

Pretty accurate scores and very helpful to establish baseline

Would make the product better:

Official solutions for test questions

The GMAT Official Practice Exams 1–6 were a great addition to my GMAT preparation. The biggest advantage is how accurate the scores are, which really helps in setting a realistic baseline and understanding where you stand in your prep. The overall test experience closely mirrors the actual GMAT in terms of question style, difficulty, and adaptiveness, making it very reliable for practice. However, one scope of improvement I’d suggest is providing official, detailed solutions for all questions, as that would make reviewing mistakes much more effective. Overall, when taken in combination with daily practice, these mocks are a must-have for anyone preparing seriously for the GMAT.

Review of material

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]

Strengths:

targets what is tested in exam

Would make the product better:

more materials and duration

Authentic, official questions
Since this Guide is published by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) — the creator of the GMAT — it contains retired-actual GMAT questions. That means the logic, phrasing, tricky answers and traps are very close to the real test

Comprehensive across sections
The Guide covers Quantitative, Verbal, and Data Insights (the newer section) in one package. If you go with a bundle, you also get sectional review books (Quant Review, Verbal Review, Data Insights Review) and an online question bank.

Good value for the ‘real-practice’ component
Several prep-resources list it as one of the best investments for GMAT prep because you simply can’t replicate official questions elsewhere.

Strengths:

question matches actual test questions

Would make the product better:

increase no.of tests for practice as 6 tests are not enough and please reduce the price of the plan

Here’s a polished 5-star review within 100–150 words:

```{"id":"56321","variant":"standard","title":"5-Star Review for the GMAC Official Practice Test"}
The GMAC Official Practice Test is an outstanding resource for anyone serious about performing well on the GMAT. The questions are incredibly authentic and mirror the exact style, difficulty, and structure of the actual exam. I especially appreciated the detailed answer explanations, which clearly break down complex concepts and help reinforce the right strategies. The interface is smooth, easy to navigate, and provides helpful performance insights so you can track your progress effectively. Taking these tests gave me a realistic sense of timing, pressure, and pacing, which boosted my confidence before the real exam. Overall, this is easily the most reliable and valuable practice tool available—well worth the investment!
Very similar to official exam
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]
Strengths:
Extensive practice
Would make the product better:
Sub Topic wise practice
The practice question set is quite good and provides a nice overall experience for preparation. However, sub‑topic‑wise practice is not possible, which limits its usefulness for focused learning. For example, in the Quant section, it would be better if topics like Speed, Time, and Distance could be selected separately for targeted practice. The hard‑level question bank should also be made more extensive, with a larger variety of challenging problems. It would be great if these questions were different from those in the official guide, so that aspirants can gain truly fresh and additional practice beyond the standard material.
OG digital version
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]
Strengths:
Good for practicing DI, let's the user created sectionals that can recreate the exam sections
Would make the product better:
Minor - interface lags sometimes
I’ve been using the GMAT Official Guide online version for a few weeks now and honestly it’s a bit of a mixed bag. The questions are great, exactly what you'd expect from the official source, and I like that you can customize practice sets by question type and difficulty. That part really helps with targeted studying.
But the platform itself isn’t the best. It’s kind of slow at times. Also, the performance tracking could be way better. It feels basic for such an important exam. Overall it’s useful because of the content but the user experience needs improvement.
GMAT OG Review
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by membership [?]
Strengths:
The GMAT Official Guide stands out for its authenticity and reliability, being the only source of real questions released by the test makers themselves. This provides test-takers with an accurate sense of the exam's structure, difficulty, and question types. Its comprehensive coverage spans Quantitative, Verbal, Integrated Reasoning, and Analytical Writing sections, making it a one-stop resource for holistic preparation. The clear answer explanations help in understanding the rationale behind each solution, which is crucial for building conceptual clarity. The guide is also well-organized, progressing from easy to hard questions, which suits various levels of learners. The integration with the online platform, which offers additional practice and performance analytics, adds further value. For first-time test-takers, it acts as an essential foundation, and even for experienced ones, it serves as a reliable practice and benchmarking tool. Overall, it’s a trustworthy and indispensable resource for serious GMAT aspirants.
Would make the product better:
While the GMAT Official Guide is invaluable, it has areas where improvement could significantly enhance its utility. Firstly, the answer explanations—particularly for quantitative questions—often lack depth and alternative solution strategies. More detailed, step-by-step solutions would benefit learners struggling with foundational concepts. Additionally, the Verbal section explanations sometimes lean on technical grammar rules without offering intuitive or modern-day usage insights, which can be confusing. The guide would also benefit from incorporating adaptive practice tests to mirror the actual GMAT experience more closely. Though the online question bank is useful, its interface and analytics tools feel outdated compared to competitors' offerings like Manhattan Prep or Magoosh. Furthermore, introducing more strategy tips and time management techniques would provide a more holistic preparation approach. Lastly, the guide could include more diverse difficulty levels and question types for Integrated Reasoning and AWA sections, which often feel underrepresented. These updates would make it a more rounded, learner-friendly product.
The GMAT Official Guide remains the cornerstone of GMAT preparation, offering unparalleled access to real, retired questions from past exams. Its authenticity and comprehensive scope make it indispensable for anyone serious about achieving a competitive score. The structured layout, covering a wide array of topics across all test sections, ensures that students can gradually build their skills. However, it functions best as a practice and review tool rather than a teaching resource, since explanations are often too brief for deep learning. While the online component adds interactivity, it could benefit from more intuitive design and smarter analytics. Despite these drawbacks, the guide excels in familiarizing users with GMAT-style reasoning and question patterns. Used in conjunction with a conceptual learning resource or prep course, it significantly boosts a candidate's readiness. For most test-takers, it remains a must-have resource—reliable, consistent, and thoroughly aligned with the real exam's format and expectations.
Great Introduction
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]
Strengths:
1. Introduction to the topics of Quants, Verbal & Data Insights.
Would make the product better:
I would prefer they improve their data insight section even more and add more challenging questions to their question bank.
The Official practice questions are great since they are GMAT themselves and are great to introduce you to the GMAT exam. The verbal section I think is the most useful out of them as the questions are of high level. The quants section is not that useful compared to the online courses. The data Insights questions are decent and they give the initial glance of the questions. All this combined with the two free tests they provide gives you a head start in preparation. If you need more preparation you can buy the remaining official test. If you are new to GMAT this is a must-buy. Good Luck with your preparation.
GMAT Official prep test review
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]
The official mock tests are the closest to the actual Exam. I Took my GMAT online on 27th Nov, 23 and the difficulty level was almost an exact match to the prep tests.
The mock test scores are also an accurate predictor of your final score. i scored 730,710,710,760,680 (outlier? or bad day?) and a 710 on all my mock tests in order. I Ended up scoring 730 in the final exam. Will probably be reappearing since Verbal could have been better .
Overall, this is a great product. I'd recommend buying all of the 6 mock tests if you can, it helps give a good idea of where you stand and how you can improve.
Official GMAT Pack
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]
There are no other mocks like the official practice tests. The scoring algorithm is as close as it gets, to the real test. But the customer support is below par and my test constantly kept crashing. Many other users reported the same issue. The UI is what one would expect to see in the real exam.
Some questions might be repeated from old Official Guides, leading to an inflated score. The practice question packs are worth it only for verbal section as quant can be appropriately practiced with the Gmat Club's Quant tests ( got a Q50 in my first attempt with those).
Overall a must buy product for the mock tests only.
