Challenging Yet Slightly Easier Than the Actual GMAT

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by post count [?]

Strengths:

GMAT Club Tests 5 and 6 are thoughtfully structured and conceptually sound. The questions are clear, logically framed, and very effective for reinforcing core Quant and Verbal concepts. The difficulty progression feels organized, and the analytics and detailed explanations are particularly valuable for diagnosing weak areas. These tests are excellent for building confidence and sharpening fundamentals.

Would make the product better:

In my experience, the actual GMAT felt tougher, especially in terms of question traps and time pressure. A slightly higher difficulty ceiling and more subtle answer choices and particularly in Quant and Critical Reasonin would help make the tests even more representative of the real exam experience.

GMAT Club Tests 5 and 6 are high-quality preparation tools that closely resemble the structure and logic of the GMAT. I scored higher on these than on the actual exam, which suggests they may be marginally easier or less punishing in terms of adaptive difficulty. That said, they are excellent for strengthening conceptual clarity and building test stamina. With slightly tighter calibration to the current GMAT level, they would be nearly perfect. Overall, a very strong resource for serious aspirants. Got a 725 and 735 on them but scored 655 on the real test, so definitely easier but also owed to test anxiety I believe.

GMAT Official Practice Questions Review

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by gmat club tests [?]

Strengths:

Very thorough - helps in addition to the questions provided on GMATClub

Would make the product better:

Nothing

The GMAT™ Official Practice Questions 1 package is one of the most valuable resources I used during my preparation. What sets it apart is the fact that the questions are created by the test makers themselves, which means the wording, logic, and difficulty level perfectly reflect what you will encounter on the actual exam. In my experience, third-party resources can sometimes feel slightly off in tone or structure, but these questions mirror the real GMAT style very closely.
I found the explanations clear and structured, especially for Data Sufficiency and harder Quant problems where understanding the reasoning process is crucial. The question bank also allowed me to identify patterns in how GMAC frames traps and tests conceptual understanding rather than pure calculation.
Another major advantage is the adaptive practice environment, which helped me build timing discipline and get comfortable with the exam interface. I used this alongside GMATClub questions, and the combination worked extremely well.
Overall, I highly recommend this product to anyone aiming for a competitive GMAT score. It provides realistic practice, high-quality explanations, and excellent preparation for test day.

Good experience

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by post count [?]

Strengths:

GMAT™ Official Practice Questions 1 provides authentic difficulty mix, very much similar to real test. The Quant section appeared to me comparatively easier than other sections.

Would make the product better:

There is no pattern like easy questions will be floated first and then tough question will be floated later. In DI section I found that many easy DS questions were floated in the later part of the section.

GMAT™ Official Practice Questions 1 provides authentic difficulty mix, very much similar to real test. The Quant section appeared to me comparatively easier than other sections. One mistake I did in DI section is that I could not attempt three questions because of which I was penalised very severely. I can share my experience that out of two attempts, in one attempt I just did four questions right in the DI section and I scored 71 whereas in another attempt in spite of making ten question right, I scored only 66 because I could not attempt three questions. There is no pattern like easy questions will be floated first and then tough question will be floated later. In DI section I found that many easy DS questions were floated in the later part of the section.

GMAT Official Exams 1-6

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Strengths:

Pretty accurate scores and very helpful to establish baseline

Would make the product better:

Official solutions for test questions

The GMAT Official Practice Exams 1–6 were a great addition to my GMAT preparation. The biggest advantage is how accurate the scores are, which really helps in setting a realistic baseline and understanding where you stand in your prep. The overall test experience closely mirrors the actual GMAT in terms of question style, difficulty, and adaptiveness, making it very reliable for practice. However, one scope of improvement I’d suggest is providing official, detailed solutions for all questions, as that would make reviewing mistakes much more effective. Overall, when taken in combination with daily practice, these mocks are a must-have for anyone preparing seriously for the GMAT.

GMAC Official Mocks

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Strengths:

The biggest strength of GMAC Official Mocks 3 and 4 is that they are the closest possible representation of the real GMAT. The question style, wording, difficulty progression, and adaptive behavior match the actual exam far better than any third-party test. The scoring is also highly reliable, making these mocks extremely useful for predicting real exam performance. The interface, timing pressure, and sectional flow feel identical to test day, which helps reduce surprises. These mocks are especially valuable for final-stage preparation because they reveal real weaknesses in pacing, stamina, and decision-making under pressure.

Would make the product better:

more advanced analytics such as topic-wise breakdowns, time management diagnostics, and error pattern tracking would make these mocks even more powerful

GMAC Official Mocks 3 and 4 are by far the most important practice tests for anyone serious about the GMAT. They accurately reflect the real exam in terms of difficulty, adaptive behavior, and scoring, which makes them extremely reliable for estimating your true performance. When I took these mocks, my scores were very close to my actual GMAT results, which shows how predictive they are. However, the weak point is the explanation quality, which is not sufficient for learning in depth. Despite that, these mocks are essential because no other test captures the real GMAT experience this well. They should be used strategically near the end of preparation.

Prep Exams 3 and 4

Strengths:

Quite close to the actual exam, however the Quant is generally easier than the official exam as per my encounter.

Would make the product better:

Make it maybe more tougher and mimic closer to the actual exam.

4/5
GMAT Mock 3 & 4 Review

Both mocks are solid benchmarks and give a good measure of the real GMAT, especially for Verbal (RC/CR/SC mix, timing pressure, and question logic).

The overall exam feel, fatigue, and pacing are close to the real thing, making them useful for test-day simulation.

Quant in Mock 3 & 4 is noticeably easier compared to the actual GMAT Focus Edition.

I scored significantly higher in QA than my real exam score, which created a gap in difficulty perception.

The mocks include more straightforward problem-solving and fewer trap-style or multi-step reasoning questions than the real test.

Real GMAT quant felt more layered, tighter on logic, and trickier under time pressure, especially in Data Insights + Algebra-heavy questions.

Good for:

Building stamina

Practicing time management

Verbal accuracy calibration

Be cautious for:

Overestimating Quant performance based on these scores

Review of material

Strengths:

targets what is tested in exam

Would make the product better:

more materials and duration

Authentic, official questions
Since this Guide is published by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) — the creator of the GMAT — it contains retired-actual GMAT questions. That means the logic, phrasing, tricky answers and traps are very close to the real test

Comprehensive across sections
The Guide covers Quantitative, Verbal, and Data Insights (the newer section) in one package. If you go with a bundle, you also get sectional review books (Quant Review, Verbal Review, Data Insights Review) and an online question bank.

Good value for the ‘real-practice’ component
Several prep-resources list it as one of the best investments for GMAT prep because you simply can’t replicate official questions elsewhere.

Here’s a polished 5-star review within 100–150 words:

```{"id":"56321","variant":"standard","title":"5-Star Review for the GMAC Official Practice Test"}
The GMAC Official Practice Test is an outstanding resource for anyone serious about performing well on the GMAT. The questions are incredibly authentic and mirror the exact style, difficulty, and structure of the actual exam. I especially appreciated the detailed answer explanations, which clearly break down complex concepts and help reinforce the right strategies. The interface is smooth, easy to navigate, and provides helpful performance insights so you can track your progress effectively. Taking these tests gave me a realistic sense of timing, pressure, and pacing, which boosted my confidence before the real exam. Overall, this is easily the most reliable and valuable practice tool available—well worth the investment!
Very similar to official exam
REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]
Strengths:
Extensive practice
Would make the product better:
Sub Topic wise practice
The practice question set is quite good and provides a nice overall experience for preparation. However, sub‑topic‑wise practice is not possible, which limits its usefulness for focused learning. For example, in the Quant section, it would be better if topics like Speed, Time, and Distance could be selected separately for targeted practice. The hard‑level question bank should also be made more extensive, with a larger variety of challenging problems. It would be great if these questions were different from those in the official guide, so that aspirants can gain truly fresh and additional practice beyond the standard material.
