Pleasant Experience; Carefully Crafted Q&A, but not Flawless

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I tried the free practice test and found that Veritas Prep's version of GMAT mock exam was delicately written to conform with the "logic" behind the real test. I had a pleasant test experience; the platform was easy to navigate and the solutions to each question showed a detail analysis of all answer choices.

As good representatives of GMAT questions were scarce, I decided to purchase a package that contained 6 additional mock exams and took 4 of them. After those tests, I would say that although the questions were great to practice with, each mock had its own concentration that didn't reflect the reality; for example, there could be a string of difficult questions or a particular area might be overrepresented.

However, as we can only find the next best GMAT questions from a small number of prep providers, Veritas Prep's ones are as good as they get.

Pleasant Experiences at Pearson Professional Centre (BKK)

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Pearson Professional Centre in Bangkok, Thailand is centrally located in Soi Sukhumvit 21 or Asok Montri Rd. Specifically, the test centre is located on the 10th Fl. of B.B. Bldg., which is within reach of many public transportations (BTS, MRT, Khlong Saen Saep Express Boat, etc.). Car parking is also available at a fee (even if you have your ticket stamped).

Normally, there are two staff at the centre; they will walk you through every step and you can ask them anything before you begin. Test takers are obliged to comply with all the rules and regulations. Your will be requested to store your belongings in the lockers. Note that before you enter the testing room, you can ask for earplugs to refrain your ears from external noises and keep you concentrated

There are a total of 6 available seatings, each equipped with standard computer set and enough room to lay down your notepad. During breaks, because there is only 1 in-house toilet, you can opt to take your break outside (walk back toward the elevators). For refreshment, there is a water cooler inside the centre.

I had pleasant experiences at the Pearson Professional Centre and I would recommend anyone who currently stay in Bangkok and plan to take GMAT to choose this test centre, especially for its location (just be sure to keep in mind the Bangkok traffic).

Best Representation of GMAT

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

After a long GMAT study, I highly recommend every test taker to invest in GMAT Prep Collection, which should consist of Office Practice Exams 3-6 and a number of practice questions.

In the bundle, you can find GMAT-like problems, which is very limited; those questions are delicately designed to give students valuable insights and knowledge to excel in the actual test. My advice is to gradually study them and reflect on key learnings for every question you tackle.

Although mock exams from GMAC are the best representative of your actual score, it can deviate by +/- 30 points or more regardless.

I do not agree. In my opinion, office practice exams are completely different from the real test. I bought exams 3 & 4, scored Q50 on both, then I sat for the real test 2 days later and got Q41. Waste of money.

Hi Kaczet

Sorry to hear that you scored a Q41 on your GMAT exam, I am sure you will see an improvement next time around. Certainly, there are many factors at play in the real-life environment of the actual test; perhaps you can share with me more about your experience and your overall preparation of GMAT, thank you.
