Hello to all,

I have been prepping for the GMAT since November, although not always efficiently. I signed up to take courses with a private company, which went on for about 6 weeks, but I did not do my part as much as I should have to retain the information efficiently. I just discovered this forum, and I am hoping some of you have been in a similar situation.

My GMAT is in a little over 3 weeks, and I am aiming for a 630+. I am very strong in the verbal section, so that does not worry me too much, but I struggle mostly with the quantitative section. I feel overwhelmed by all the concepts and do not know how to organize everything properly to make sense of it.

What would be the best way to organize the next 3 weeks to really maximize my learning? My time is entirely dedicated to GMAT prep, so there are no daily constrictions in terms of scheduling.

As I am new on here, I have also found this forum a little bit difficult to navigate. Would it be possible to link the threads that I should be focusing on and practicing the most on here?

Thank you so much for your help!! :)

Hi IsabelleKira,

I'm not really sure how did you prepare for GMAT and what concepts you have finished in quant. So, I would give you a general suggestion for the next three weeks. But before you start, analyze the quizzes or mocks you have taken till now, identify your weak areas in quant and make a list of them.

Week 1:

  • Learn the concepts of the weak areas in quant (Deal with one topic at a time)
  • At the same time, don't neglect verbal. Make sure you take a verbal quiz daily so that you don't lose touch with it. (I am assuming you have finished learning the concepts and the methodology in verbal)
  • If you haven't finished learning the concepts and the methodology in verbal, then go ahead and finish it.
  • You can dedicate 60% of your day for quant and 40% for verbal

Week 2:

  • If there are any topics left to be revised, please go ahead and finish them.
  • Take individual sectional quizzes for quant and verbal (You can start with a quiz of 10 questions with 25 minutes time limit. Gradually you can decrease the time limit)
  • Make sure you analyze the solution of each question in detail after the quiz.
  • Compare your approach with the right one and identify at which step you faltered

Week 3:

  • Take a mock
  • On the same day, analyze the mock in detail after taking a break for a couple of hours
  • Note down the topics in which you have made mistakes
  • Dedicate the next couple of days to work on those topics
  • Take another mock and repeat the process
  • Do not study on the last day. Just relax

I hope this helps. I can suggest you in a better way if you can provide me a little more background about the way you prepared till now and your weak areas. We can get in touch over a call and have a detailed discussion regarding the same. You can use the below link to get in touch with me.
