Thank you for organizing such a nice event. I never had this consistent study for the gmat before, so this Olympics really helped me to no only get the correct perspective about the Gmat test but also bring me to the GMAT community, where a lot of people who have the same ambition and problem as me are working hard.
It has been really joyful to compete with them and learn from them.
Now, i have full of energy and motivation to prepare my exam. Thank you again and again.
I wish the competition would last longer. or there should be another competition happening soon.
If another competition started soon, I would happily participate in and unite with my GMAT community and challenge myself.

Request your help on this. Even today 40 points for the DS and PS questions are not showing up in the log. The difference between number of correct timers and # of kudos itself indicates that 10 points for correct ans have not been added. Also, I have received notifications whether my answers are correct or wrong for each question each day on my GMAT club app. However, it has not translated into points yet. The issue exists with CR questions too

The Olympics 2024 event is over! To some this may be congratulations and send this may be I said goodbye to a team and a routine that was built up over the last two weeks. Amazing job everyone! Thank you Bunuel for your leadership and attention to the event as well as judging questions and 1 million of other things.

It is bittersweet for me it has been fun and encouraging to read through the explanations especially for some of the tricky critical reasoning questions that were making my head spin. At the same time, I will not miss waking up at 6 AM.

The points and ranks are pretty much set but there are a few small point adjustments we have to make for example for a question yesterday where to answers could be argued as correct in critical reasoning, we’re going to award 10 timer points manually to everyone who picked the other answer choice. There is a small numbers but there are always a few small tweaks that have to be consistently applied to everyone to make it fair at the end of the competition.

Who gets a prize and what kind?
This is also the time when people are wondering about the prizes. The process this year will work exactly the same way how it has worked for the last five years. It’s proven and reliable and seems fair. I just counted the prices and it seems we have 39 or 40 prizes. One of them is a bit mysteriously phrased so I will clarify if the very last prize from MBA admit is in fact one or two separate, But whatever the number of prizes end up being whether it’s 39 or 40, they will all be distributed. As salivating as some of them look, I don't think there is a second MBA in my books.

The big important question is how they will be distributed. I believe there is a mention of this in the first post. I’m going to paraphrase it but in case I misinterpreted, the correct interpretation is in the first post. Simply put, The top three players from the winning team will get the first pick of the prizes. Then the other top three players of the other three teams, based on their point ranking among those nine players will have a chance to pick their prizes, And then after that, the prizes open up to everyone else based on their number of points, And this means we have about 39 or 40 people winning big prizes.

In addition, everyone on the winning orange team, I think there’s no doubt about orange team winning, will receive access to the forum quiz. That will happen on Monday or Tuesday next week once we finalize the top 100 players and everyone will see their rank and points.

So what happens next?

I think everyone should relax this weekend and enjoy their time off and a break they deserve.
On Monday and definitely no later than Tuesday, we will post the list of top 100 participants.
I will also contact the top 39/40 winners of the major prizes about the process for claiming their loot.
1. The process is fairly straightforward and ask each person what prize they want and what order.
2. For example if you are somebody in the middle of the pack and some of the prizes have already been claimed by higher ranking players, I need to be able to understand what I can give you so from the remaining items you need to rank each one based on your priority.
3. I’ll explain this more in my message. This is not a bidding system so saying that I won prize number one and nothing else will have absolutely no impact this is a remaining price preference, out of the remaining prizes, which one would you like in other words.
And finally also the winning team, the entire winning team all 600+ members will receive one month access to the forum quiz for 1 month. I will confirm access with the personal message to the entire team.

Just curious, bb do you have an internal ranking list based only on the scores obtained from correct timers? I just wanted to check my relative performance & accuracy.
if you have such a list, is it possible to disclose it over the DM if it is not to be published by the GC?

Hi CKHE. I am sorry I missed your message.

I just checked 1 question from Day 9 - DS. This is the first one I ran into.

I saw the following:
1. You got points for taking the timer in 120 mins
2. You got points for posting an explanation
3. You got points for Kudos to explanation
4. You did not get points for the timer because the timer was incorrect. (note that you have taken the timer for this question multiple times and while the last answer from July 19th was correct, the original one from July 18th was incorrect)

I am sharing a screenshot below. I did not proceed to check all the other questions because the first one I found had no issues. So, it would be great if you could check your error log to make sure your answers were correct and share the screenshots/details as so far it seems like you may have overlooked things and perhaps more research would make your request stronger.

Thank you - yes, we struggled with making CR questions hard enough because if they were clear cut 95% answers were spot on. It was really hard to create good questions for CR.
