Thanks for the debrief.

Tough break though. It seems like all you need are some better testing conditions and more sleep/stamina, and you'll break 700 without a doubt. Good luck next month!!!

GMAT is only one variable in the big admission equations.

Financier, why would you need a retake? Luckily, you're not Indian IT/Engineer, do you think your background is not competitive?

It's funny, surfing through this forum, I have a strong impression that everyone around aims for and gets a 730-770 score.

Nice debrief! adding to my collection of debriefs. Great advice for future test-takers. Hope you get 700+ in retake rather 780 and become a smart guy & beat your friend :P. 690 isn't a bad score but knowing that you can do better it does hurt and satisfaction does matter.

I skipped more than 4 questions and guessed waaay more questions. So, I could have received 47 or less for such a bad game.

Merry Weather,

This is a good question indeed. You know... It's hard to stop when you devote this beast SO much time :)
The GMAT is like a gambling in some respects, the more you engage in it, the best outcome you want, even if 690 seems not bad at the first glance. After some point you cannot stop. If you do gamble, you should understand me :-D .
