Hi all,
Studied 2 months, and hard work pays off. Will admit that I am slightly disappointed in my Quant score since I was hitting Q49/Q50 on all practice tests.
This forum is amazing. Great work everyone here does, keep it up!
Test results:
Q48
V41
IR: 8/8
AWA 6/6
Total: 730 (96th percentile)
Still a little upset at myself for missing those 2 quant questions since I was pressed for time. Those could've been the Q49!
My undergrad GPA was a 3.0 flat in petroleum engineering. (Family financial issues, had to take a leave of absence to support my injured father, but will discuss in optional essay)
My grad gpa (masters petroleum engineering) is a 3.5.
I was/am president and VP of multiple professional engineering/charitable societies.
I can put a compelling story together.
I have 4 years experience in engineering, and a smaller boutique management consulting company that caters to O&G upstream industry.
1) Do y'all think I should re-take? I feel Q48 is low for HBS/Sloan/Wharton?
2) Do AWA/IR matter? I know I crushed them, but will they even help me?
Sloan is my #1 choice at the moment, as 2 of my managers went there and I can get a letter of support, and rec letter.
Thanks!
