A recent study concluded that as more time progresses between these two civil wars, it is less likely that the second will ever occur.

A) between these two civil wars- between should be followed with an "and" between X and Y is the correct idiom- option A has an idiom error-wrong!
B) between one civil war and the next- between X and Y- Correct idiom!
C) which is between two civil wars which should always be preceded with a comma -wrong!
D) through civil wars which fall between- which should be preceded b a comma- wrong!
E) through civil wars- we are not talking about multiple civil wars- just two wars- the non underlined part talks about the other war-- this option creates a meaning error for this reason- wrong!
