Hi people,
I am working with a Fortune 50 company as a B2B sales manager. I am having a tough time coming up with Long-term and short-term goals. Can anyone help me with this aspect?
If there is anyone who has got an admit to a B School from pure Sales background, please let me know what you have mentioned as your career goals. It should give me a direction to think on those lines.

naveen720 this is a pretty important topic for you to get the answer from the GMAT Club forum. I would recommend that you research various options...info interviews... also there is a podcast

that you could check out which covers different various career options. If you append someone else's goals your application it will fail...the best goals are speaking to the data points in your life specifically and they are unique to you so I'd recommend that you do the research and then position Yourself by connecting the dots with where youve been and where you're planning to go. I think it would be well worth it for you to work with a consultant at least on this aspect of your application.

1. What is the long term goal you want to achieve?
2. What is a short term role you will have to work in to reach this long term goal?
3. Will an MBA be able to help you land this short term role?
4. Look around you- people who are doing the job you want to be in- do most of them have an MBA or not? (If no, you may not need one either)
Reading here might help you get a direction to begin with.
