I have general question on RC.
1. Daily how much RC you were solving?
2. How you gained accuracy in RC?
3. How you were learning from your mistakes?
4. How you were timing yourself?
5. You were completing RC in set of 4-5? Or you were completing one RC and then after reviewing it you were moving to next RC?
** Overall strategy question
6. How you build the stamina?
7. What you did to remain focused during the exam? It is very hard to remain focus especially in last hr of the exam and that is the most crucial hr.
8. What was your daily routine to approach Verbal section? -- I am planning to solve daily 4 RCs and on alternative day solve CR and SC by timing myself. What do you suggest on this approach?
Sorry for lots of questions, but you inputs would be very much helpful.
Thanks,
Chetan
Woah! thats a lot many questions. Please find the answers inserted below
1. Daily how much RC you were solving?
I solve around 4-5 RCs per day and then analyzed the questions and identified the types which I got wrong2. How you gained accuracy in RC?
Practice is the key here3. How you were learning from your mistakes?
I used to go back and re read the portion of the passage from where the question came. Also I used to look for the RC which I got wrong in gmatclub and then go through the replies.4. How you were timing yourself?
I used the stop watch on my phone and made sure that I did not take more than 2 minutes on an average for solvng all the questions in the RC.
The average was calculate by accounting for the reading time also. So (total time for reading + solving questions)/ no. of questions<= 2 mins5. You were completing RC in set of 4-5? Or you were completing one RC and then after reviewing it you were moving to next RC?
Totally depended on my mood, no set strategy here** Overall strategy question
6. How you build the stamina?
By sitting and practicing 4 - 5 RCs per day7. What you did to remain focused during the exam? It is very hard to remain focus especially in last hr of the exam and that is the most crucial hr.
All my mock tests included AWA and IR. This helped me maintain my stamina for the 4 hours, especially for the last half an hour8. What was your daily routine to approach Verbal section? -- I am planning to solve daily 4 RCs and on alternative day solve CR and SC by timing myself. What do you suggest on this approach?
I practiced all the three daily. 4-5 RCs, 15 - 20 CR and SC daily. And go through the SC notes every alternate day.I hope I have answered all your questions. Do let me know if you have more
