In the answer choices there is a split in how the sentence starts: either "The three-block long suburb" or "Long suburb with/and the three-block". The latter is incorrect in that it is missing an article in the beginning of the sentence. Without one, it creates an ungrammatical sentence: (without the subordinate clause) Long suburb with/and the three-block has long drawn visitors from throughout England. makes very little sense. This eliminates choices (C), (D) and (E).


A. The three-block long suburb, with trendy indoor framework and a much-loved Indian handicraft store,
Correct! Removing the subordinate clause leaves a sentence which makes perfect sense, while the subordinate clause correctly links back to the suburb and provides add information about.

B. The three-block long suburb and trendy indoor framework and a much-loved Indian handicraft store,
The omission of the first comma together with the use of two conjunctions forms a plural which does not pair with the singular "has"

(A) "trendy indoor framework and a much-loved Indian handicraft store" are both describing "the three-block long suburb" which is singular, as the later part of sentence mentions "has". There is no grammatical or meaning issue. Hence correct answer.

(B) "has" implies singular noun, but the sentence before comma mentions multiple nouns. Also use of "and" after every noun is wrong here. Hence wrong option.

(C) "with trendy indoor framework" wrongfully modifies "the three-block"."an" before "much-loved" is also wrong, article used should be "a". Hence wrong option.

(D) "the three-block" should modify "long suburb". Basically the sentence is trying to convey "the three-block long suburb". Also use of "an" is wrong, as mentioned in statement (C).

(E) Basically the sentence is trying to convey "the three-block long suburb". Also use of "an" is wrong, as mentioned in statement (C).
