Hi All,
I studied for GMAT for ~5 months and while my mock scores were mostly between 690-730 in the last 1 month, I gave the GMAT yesterday and scored a dismal 640 (Q46 V32).
Material referred to for GMAT prep-
-
OG- Took class room coaching from Princeton Review which was sub-standard
- Veritas Question bank, miscellaneous 700-800 questions
- Skimmed through Manhattan SC
Mocks taken-
- 15 free mocks from
Experts Global- 5 mocks from Princeton Review
- 2 GMAT Prep tests (Score 700, 710)
I am pretty dejected but scoring in the 700s is a compulsion for me to get my dream college. I plan to re-take the GMAT in December.
Decided Plan of Action for re-taking the GMAT
- Take SC online course from
E-GMAT, Quant online course from Maths Revolution. Still haven’t zeroed in the class for CR and RC.
- Give GMATClub mocks. Zero in on other mock series to take.
- Practice with questions on GMATClub
Would request you to comment if this seems like a suitable strategy, also suggest best CR and RC online courses and good mock series to take.
I would like to tell that I was fit and fine during the GMAT and apart from the fact that I started worrying about how I am performing and what score I’ll get, there was no problem in the centre or the exam. I do realised that I really need to pull up my socks and start from the concept building, especially for verbal.
Thanks a ton!
