Let people in accounting department in beginning = a
After 6 employees transferred to the accounting deptt, employees = a+6
After 4 employees transferred out of the accounting deptt, employees = a+6-4 = a+2
New hires = b
employees left = c
Final count = a+2+b-c
i.e. a+b-c+2 = a+5
i.e. b-c = 3
Out of teh table,
Newly hired = 5
Left = 2

I am not sure I understand the question fully. Help would be appreciated. Are new employees referring only to those hired externally, or those who have transferred internally? Same for those who have left?
