AWA Score is "0" - What should I do?

Question

Hi guys,

Just received my official GMAT score and the AWA score shows up as "0". I've taken GMAT once before and scored "6" and I was sure this essay was even better than last time. I don't know if this is an error or if my AWA score will be recalculated in the official report, but what should I do now? This is very annoying as a few days ago I was so happy to see my GMAT score for other sections and thought I was done, and this official score report with "0" AWA destroyed me today.

Take a look at  this post  for another report of the same thing. This is likely just a glitch and should clear up on its own, like  this case . But we should act under the assumption that it isn't, and I suggest you reach out to Pearson support ASAP (phone and email both).

Hi..
I have the same experience today, I've received my official report and my AWA score is 0..
and I've tried to email the Pearson Customer service 
is your isu solved?

If you can, wait a couple of days to see whether the score shows up. In the meantime, call the Pearson customer service people up (don't just send them an email).

As Ajitesh and Scott have mentioned, this has to be an error.

I remember reading somewhere that AWA zero means leaving the essay completely  blank  or writing in some language  other than  English.

I am sure  none  of this is applicable to you;).

I've got the same problem....I tested on 23 Oct, and just received my AWA score at 23:02 (26 Oct). It shows 0... hek... can I call Pearson on weekend..? so nervous ......

It’s definitely a glitch as zero is an almost impossible score. Contact them over the weekend or Monday.

thanks for your reply bb! okay I will try to contact Pearson.. hope they can fix this soon, I notice that this problem has occurred during Sep at China also.. several test takers have this experience..hek.... freaking me out .....

Same experience. I emailed them, got an response within 24 hours, saying that it still takes time for all scores to upload and ask me to log in and check again. When I logged in again, I saw the actual AWA score.

This just happened to me too. It’s my third time taking the GMAT and I’ve gotten a 5 and a 6 before. I took it Oct 26th and finally got the results of 0! My heart dropped because I knew I had written just as good if not a stronger essay than before. I do hope it’s a glitch they can fix!
