Both schools are consulting powerhouses and are considered peer schools. Booth at an 80K discount feels like the obvious choice here.

Thanks, jessepinkman! How was your experience at Booth?

Congratulations on the admits.

You cannot go wrong with either one of them w.r.t consulting. But, I strongly recommend Booth here. With that kind of money -> Booth is a clear winner. Because one way or the other, you are getting an MBA from a top-notch school. You might as well save some bucks!
All the best :-)

P.S -> Booth stands #1 in the latest US news rankings which I am sure you already know by now.

I loved my time at Booth. I think Booth provides a unique mix of strong academic rigor, city living, and a strong sense of community with ~70% of the class living within a 5 block radius in downtown Chicago.

Do you think living at Hyde Park will negatively affect the experience?

it really depends what you want to get out of the experience. a small percentage of booth students live in hyde park <10% and it's mostly people with young kids. You'll be pretty out of the loop socially if you live in hyde park as most of the non academic social events happen downtown. i lived in the loop and think that's definitely the way to go. you can live in a building near millenium park plaza (where ~50% of the class lives) but not in MPP if you don't want to live in what can feel like a dorm at times.
