What kind of info have you put in the "blank pages" essay?

I'm wondering whether I should do a pure presentation similar to what was expected last year, or use this essay to talk about personal traits or stories which I haven't been able to put in the other essays.

Yeah, might as well get in early and enjoy the rest of the month. My rec's were submitted, gmat score, etc. Had a little trouble with the uploading tool, so had to send in all my attachments to admissions via email.

I guess it won't hurt to submit earlier. (i started the mba app process quite early, in august)

Well I did a combo of essay + graphic design. I strayed away from the presentation medium and did more of "info-graphics". Brushed up my photoshop and illustrator skills.

Hi,

I'm sure someone else has considered this before, but should we be concerned about any potential copyright issues for images we use in the powerpoint presentation? Should we only stick to public domain images? Has it ever come up in the past or has Booth provided any clarification?

I would suggest having a disclaimer that includes your source and mentions you are using it under the fair use doctrine that allows using copyright material under certain circumstances (non-commercial, academic, using only part of the material, etc) - ideal scenario would be to get permission from the copyright owner to use the material.

Somehow I am feeling the 'marginal utility' principle applying aptly in my applications. Have submitted Booth, CBS and Wharton till now, in that order, and felt that the app quality decreased every time I pressed 'Submit' :(

And have at least two more apps to go...don't really know whether it's worth it at this rate. Anyone else facing the music?

Why do you feel the quality is decreasing? You should actually be feeling better about each of them as you go along as you'd probably be more confident about your essays and the way you've articulated your thoughts.

I think you should apply to the last two schools if you have the bandwidth. Maybe because I am in investment management, but I believe one should always diversify risk! You never know whether a crappy interview (or a crappy interviewer) or some other unforeseen occurrence can hurt your chances at a school.

rather than facing the music i have started playing it...for long i wanted to play guitar...finally...without bothering too much abt r-2...and leaving r-1 behind me...i am strumming the guitar....

also am watching movies...watched kung fu panda for nth time...and here is something i felt like sharing:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Po: Maybe I should just quit and go back to making noodles.

Oogway: Quit, don't quit? Noodles, don't noodles? You are too concerned about what was and what will be. There is a saying: yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the "present."

I understand what you are saying; but it seems that the effort I put in my firs app, and my third one, are wide apart. I slogged in my first app-it took nearly 2 good months  and the third one was done in less than two weeks!!! I don't know whether it's fatigue or 'greater confidence'... :?

To me it sounds like you've done your groundwork well. Besides 'answering the question' and catering the school (citing school specific things that you like), your candidacy is the same, right? So I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like you are on track. If you spent another 2 months on every successive app, that would be reason to worry!

just to add my "waiting woes" story... constant checking of gmatclub forums, mail, phone, booth admissions site, all this while at client-side... today, after a meeting, i opened this page, not realizing that my laptop was still connected to the projector :) ... nervousness reaching new heights ...

I'm scared to jinx anything with this question, but does anyone know how long admitted students have to decide about whether they're matriculating or not?
