On a side note - I wonder why there is so much more activity on this thread than the other top schools.. Rolling admissions?

Unfortunately dreams are all I have at this moment (you guys atleast had an interview ) - I already dreamed my cellphone buzzing with 'NoogieViking's Uncle' flashing on my screen. I of course asked him to stop calling

Can't speak for the other threads but both Harvard and Wharton said we won't hear anything any earlier than 26 Oct so just a waiting game. With Columbia there appears to be progress every day. Except for those poor saps like me who applied RD.
HBS will hear by Oct 26th because from 26-9th the interview invites go out then on the 9th... dings/waitlit for those not interviewed Wharton not sure, didn't even care to look at that school after about 5 min looking at Philly rofl... i couldn't spend a month there nevermind 2 years...

I could spend 2 years wherever, to be honest - Hanover as easily as Philly. Geographics are not a concern anyway, as I've moved from Scandinavia over here for college and work, and so whether i'm 250 miles north or 250 miles south (or whatever phiilly is - much less, i'm sure), doesn't matter to me. What matters now is some resolution on what my life will be over the next years...
Hi there, application submitted on the 10/02, status changed to "under review" on the 10/04... and nothing . Is it a good or a bad sign? I'm seeing people in the forum who submitted the day and already invited for interview... pressing the refresh button of my email every 5 minutes...
You clearly have never been to Philly I could deal with Hanover (loved Tuck)... but the Philly locals... not so much...

HAH! I went for an interview for the EMBA last winter, walked around a little bit for myself before headed to school. Sure, not the most picturesque of places, but the people I met were fine enough to deal with.

That said... I do think NYC>Philly.

I'm from NY and live in Philly now. NYC is DEFINITELY > PHILLY. The best thing about Philly is its proximity to NYC. However, after living in the Midwest for 8 years, I am OVERJOYED to be living in Philly...now if I could just get rid of all the Eagles fans.
Hm, anyone in the NY area? Think I'm going to head down to CBS next friday and spend a good portion of the day on-campus, etc. Any other admits or prospectives wanna head down? Shoot me a PM
Yesterday's event was just ok, nothing mindblowing. Def not as good as the Spotlight On: Diversity Event At this point I think i've been to too many events, that will def be my last!
oh and LT if you come done the week after ill be here but otherwise im gonna be in ct/nh/MA for tuck/sloan/bachelor party/alumni committee meeting blabla

I would not worry to much. I think they send out interview invites throughout the review process. I would only start worrying if you have been under review for about 4-6 weeks without a interview invite. Everything else is fine.

Thank you! It's conforting. I think the subjective part of my application is good (essays, international, woman etc) but I'm worried about the numbers. My GMAT is borderline (650) and I didn't study in the US, so my GPA doesn't mean anything... Well, patience...

I'm in the same boat as you mbagirl, I submitted on 10/1 and haven't heard anything back either. MY GMAT is decent but my gpa is low, however I also feel the subjective portions of my application are strong as well. As rgupta said interviews can go out at any time so I guess we just have to wait on em.
I met 2 current students on my last visit to CBS. Both applied ED last year. One waited 6 weeks before receiving an interview call, and the other waited 9 weeks for a call!.
